    After a few months working on the car i have the time to post my own build thread
    Base line: 1981 Rabbit Custom L 1.6 Diesel 2 doors Royal Red
    when i found her @ a farm in NJ






    some goodies








    vent windows upgrade



    pick up some wheels



    dash replaced




    the diesel its not for me so buy an ABA swap





    some more goodies


    installed






    now time for the interiors





    today i get the new carpet from stockinteriors, hopefully i go to install it next sunday & test fit the seats

    Those seats are perfect everything is awesome.
    but those NA fronts will never grow on me.

    me either but most of the rabbits have round headlights so for now i stay with the square ones Thanks

    I think you mean late westy.

    Car looks good, I have a 4 door in the same color with and ABA swap. I haven't quite made the progress you have though. It looks good, keep it up.

    Thanks for the comments Today i did some work on the interiors
    started

    very solid floor pans



    wire brushed, primed & paint some surface rust spots




    ready to install it





    test fit the seats just to see how they look but still waiting for the seats brackets. still need to trim the carpet on some corners but overall im really happy with the results. need to take better pictures of the interior done. for some reason the dash looks brown with the flash now i need to order some more carpet to finish the trunk

    New front and rear window rubber as well as chrome? If so, where did you source said rubbers? Dave J

    How do you like the fit and quality of the carpet?
    Can't be more happy. The quality is awesome & fit better than the OEM. Customer service and shipping was great too

    Not much progress, clean a little the engine bay, make a better upper radiator hose and clean the interiors
