Interesting that Trek would plaster the Giant name on its frame... Nice bike!

I have Shimano R540 (I don't remember the exact number?) pedals, and they've served me fine. Kinda heavy, but whatever. Have fun!

Ditto. I've been saying this for the last couple of seasons... too many other priorities for my toy money though.

    pedals for the cross bike?

Gonna use it more as a road bike (road pedals), or are you planning on some cyclocross races (mountain bike pedals) in the future?

It would be a good ride, but to raise the cash they want
I do the MS bike ride. My choice is Grand Bend to London, stay over night, then back in the morning. It's a really good event.

How did the orientation go ? The one thing I have always wondered about that ride is how much money goes into the advertising and event day, and not to research ?

Well we ended up signing up. Very inspirational. People with disabilities, seniors (in their 80's), cancer survivors . After thinking about it, there is no reason why I can't make the ride, as well as raise the money. I am a healthy thirty something male and If raising $2500 and riding 200 km is my biggest worry for the next 6 months then I consider myself very grateful....

Search Lee Gallagher if you would like to contribute. Any and all donations would be gratefully appreciated. Tax receipts issued (Canadian) for those donations of $10 or more

As far as how much money actually goes where , I had read that out of the 17 million raised last year, 14 went to research and remaining 3 million went to the event day/ advertising. You have to spend money to make money? Regardless like a lot of things like this, it somewhat of a understanding that hopefully the money is spent wisely

I will second that! I missed the Grand Bend to London last year do to work but it is a GREAT time. I think they are up to 1700 + riders now. VERY well organized too. I am in for this year.

I have eggbeaters on my MTB, basically the same just no cage. Mud does absolutely nothing to these pedals, its great. Rock bashes, however, will pop your cleat out.

supposedly, crank bros redesigned the pedals so rock bashes won't pop the cleat out... as well making them stronger
