FS: Parting out 1984 Quantum 1.6TD body and interior bits

So, I'll update the details shortly. But I recently acquired a 1984 Quantum 1.6TD sedan body. I picked it up for parts for my 1982 Wagon. There is some stuff I can use, but a lot I don't need. I know how hard it is to find this stuff, so I'm reticent to throw it away. This is more of a service to the QTD community than anything else.

The motor was gone when I got it, so that stuff it pretty much out. Here are the details on the car.

1984 Bronze/Gold metallic. Floor rust, straight, southern car (in recent years: originally from MD).

All body parts are avialable. All interior parts are also available. Prices are plus ship.

Prices:
Door cards: About 8+ of 10 on all but the pass rear card which has a split. $35/set
Carpet: tan with tears in the rear section below driver's seat: $20
Center console with brake cover piece: $20 plus ship.
Glove box or driver's lower side: $10 either piece.
Front seat covers: tan, and in fair shape. No rips/cuts/splits on visible surfaces: $35/set
Dash bits: Board is cracked, but vents are fair: OBO
Trunk carpet bits: $5/set.


Mechanical:
AC compressor (York): $15
AC bracket: $15
Wiper assy: $15

There is more stuff, but I need to catalog. I'm really not looking to make anything on this crap. I'm just offering it as a service to those Quantum nuts that are always looking for HTF parts. PM me for stuff not listed. I may have it. But ALL motor parts are in fact gone (before I got the car). I'll be keeping all the electrical stuff. So, nothing but body parts/trim/int stuff left basically.

To my knowledge, Quantums never came with a woodgrain dash plate.

So, you're either talking about a DASHER, or a Rabbit. Either way, I can't help.

There are actually some of the trim panels (long one that is just over the steering wheel covers the dash switches...hazard/defrost/lights) that came in a faux wood grain pattern. I had one out of an 83 or 84 wagon with a brown interior. Have yet to see another one. I think I sold it here a while back...maybe it's still kicking around? Doubt it though...

I have an 1983 Quantum that has rust damage. Unforntunately the body rot has rusted the engine subframe mounts out. Still runs great but has a mind of its own about which direction.

Wanted to know if your body shell (and whatever other parts are still attached) was available to transplant my engine and trans.

Well. It's pretty much gutted out. I saved any useful interior bits, but I cut out the rear metal panel for the back seat to allow me to use the car as a mobile storage unit.

The driver's floor has some rust on the inside along the rocker, and I drilled holes in the floor to let any water that gets in, to drain out.

I guess it could be fixed, but it's probably not worth the effort.

I am looking for the dash panel face that holds the radio and the thermostat controls in place. I have an 83 quantum coupe brown interior. Is this part still available and are the tabs still intact?(mine broke)

Is yours the one with the separate cut out holes for the thermostat controls?

Also I broke one of my dash lights that illuminate the speedometer that plugs into the back if i could get that too.

All of that was torn to shreds. The only good ones I have are for 1985-1988 cars.

Sedan is gonna be different than wagon. Sorry mate.

Also, this is diesel. So it won't have the in-tank pump like a gasser. Have you tried old dealer stock? There may be some old shizz laying around. Also, vwclassic.de has some good ole 32B Passat stuff kicking around in Europe.

Doesn't make a difference that the sedan is different. Also do not need a pump. Only a sending unit and whatever it attaches to. Thanks.
