Im going to refinish them and depending on how they turn out, ill decide if I'm going to buy tires for them or not. Most likely i will since formozas are cheap and i wouldn't mine seeing how they look on the car.
This.
Unfortunately, the vr hasn't been running like it should be. So I've hooked it up to vag-com and found a few issues that need to be sorted. Ordered some parts, as well as the suspension components so that i can finally get to the cx racing coils.

Hey guys, been busy with another set of midterms and finally got around to replacing some of the parts i had ordered 2 weeks back. Unfortunately, maintenance>coil over install so i had a day replacing a few parts and issues i ran into.
Upon finding this:
I got around to repairing the harness that appeared to be chewed/melted, installed some fresh oxygen sensors, and the knock sensor, as well as a good throttle body cleaning. Poured some fresh coolant in and the car is running how she is supposed to.![]()

Played around with the coils, got the car sitting pretty nicely. Coils have settled since this picture and ride great. Couldn't be happier with them.
And I've ordered myself one of these since i can't stand that stock wheel meant for a bus.

We didn't get concept Series in the states
The US is actually bigger than Canada in land area. Canada edges the US by a bit when you factor in water area. (You guys have so many dang lakes)
Awesome priceI'm definitely going to hit up a dealer when I return to Portugal again. Plenty of SEATs over there.

Ive decided that the blue visors aren't going to look all that great without the rest of the interior being done, so I'm going to pull the headliner and pillars, spray them black and rewrap the headliner in a black suede most likely.
Whats everyone using as an adhesive for headliners? I read up that the 3M Super 77 is garbage, and the 3M Super 99 is what i should be looking for. Can anyone with experience confirm?

It may be a long shot but VW did put out an all blue interior for the Mk3 in Europe and can even be found in some early Mk3 diesels in Canada. I saw a Vento in Portugal with an all blue interior and asked him about it and he said he was dying to get rid of it for an all black interior. Apparently they toss blue interiors in steel drums over there and light them up on fire.
The dash, knee panels, front and rear center consoles, glovebox, door cards, and rug is all blue.
Or you can find a blue Colour Concept interior. I'm pretty sure the Canadians got these as well in small numbers.
And these Euro Recaros look sweet

Hmmm the diesel looks interesting, idk if its just faded or if its meant to be an off blue. Cool regardless. So far in Canada my cars the only one I've seen with the blue inserts as they are, i wish we had gotten either of those blue recaro editions here. I have looked into those interiors across the pond and sometimes they can be had for a deal, but its tough finding someone to send it over.

Been taking the interior apart to get started on the pillars and headliner.
Yesterday i found some time to do a few smaller things, added the cluster rings, and wired in a rear fog. As well as city lights in the dual rounds.
Material came in for my adapters/spacers.
Painted the a and b pillars and they came out looking perfect! So happy with them. Only pic i have of them is this one in the background.
Polished the lips on the ROH's for the daily.
Got the 512's mounted and threw them on the car
And one pic of my two babies..

Loving this car lots colour is amazing. Was tempted to buy a CC jazz blue mk3 a month or so back but there only 8v and figured I would miss the abf too much. Keep up the good work can't wait to see the roof lining as I want to do mine soon.

Digging the daily as well. What are the specs on the wheels on it?
#102

Got the ecodes and badged grill finally back on for the daily. Im progressing with the headliner on the gti and filling in some rash on the modena faces. Didnt do much this weekend as the exhaust cracked and opened up right after the cat and before the resonator on the golf. Ended up fixing that this weekend instead of doing work on the gti.
Pic from a local get together, next to a friend of mines VRT.
