You're welcome, there aren't many people running the black out LEDs, the cool thing about them is you can hook up the inner trunk pieces to a power source (license plate lights) and when you turn them on the led ring lights blue. Only the black outs had that option...

I really like the cherry reds, I'm eventually going to have my tails tinted slightly to get the cherry color to tone down the bright red.... But I want mine lighter than the way yours look, kinda the way the euro R32 tails look

I got these from ECS, just swapped out rear fog. To my knowledge, same cherry red plastic used on .:R style lights.

I've also seen someone split the clear/silver votex lenses and installed on LEDs for a totally clear look. Quick search for pic yielded neg results.

Just two things though.
1.Those pieces that you put on in the back bumper look off/not aligned.
2.it might just be my eyes but the color doesnt match the rest of the car.

That is a really cool set up for the inner trunk lights!! I would like to have that done but im not ready to tackle installing those led diods lol, not to mention I have never soldered before either lol

I should make a GLI Cup Edition sticker for my car heeeheee Totally kidding, although I do work in the right department to make it happen!! I love the TDI Cup Edition styling, just not a fan of the TDI. Although it gets excellent gas mileage, I still like the performance side of the gas engines

yeah i get great fuel economy with diesel. but with enough money and overtime, i can mod the engine to perform around 200-230 hp and over 300lbs of torque. itll be a torque monster!

Thanks, i messed with the coloring (contrast, saturation, brightness, etc) a bit in the pictures, so that's probably why it looks slightly different; the match is pretty good i think, you can see some more on my flickr.

And as for the alignment of them, the caractere rear valence alignment is not so great.... i've heard it is because they were made for the european rear bumpers, but i don't know if there is any truth to that... I'm going to try to straighten them out this summer i'm hoping.
