Bring the parts down and we'll get it together-- seriously. We can machine the flange here Saturday if needed. (There will be no fall race)

trying to call around to get the intake ground around here....not having any luck. Going to try and pull it tomorrow night and see how bad it is.....might have to true it up old school. Need to finish a short intercooler pipe, and see what's up with the one injector. Catch can and cams will have to wait until it's actually running. I'll see where I'm at by Wed. and go from there. I could trailer it up saturday, but feel bad about everyone having to help finish it.

« on: Today at 05:04:58 PM » Quote
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We regret to inform everyone that we are going to have to cancel the Pittsburgh Classic event that was going to be held this Sunday April 22nd. Due to inclement weather, we feel this is the best decision for the safety of everyone coming.
We will not be rescheduling the event as the dates that we could have were already taken by other local & regional events.
Please pass the word to all your friends.
Thanks

That stinks, but is very understandable. I guess i can get some sleep now. There is no reason a big group of us can't get together another day and do some racing. Where are some of your other events located?

Check out the link in my signature and then go to schedule.
All of our events are located in the Southeast states........we ventured out for Pittsburgh!
Thanks to all you guys for supporting the event and we will just have to see about 2013. Just so many factors in looking at dates. We want to make it where both air and watercooled can come.

And... The forecast is calling for no rain Sunday.
Who possibly saw that one coming.

This is a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. The promoters were receiving a lot of calls from racers who were cancelling their participation in the event due to the forecast, storms in the midwest, and fear of low track temperatures. It's not just a matter of a rain-out or low attendance, but facing the reality that really low numbers will cause the loss of many thousands of dollars-- and I do mean a large sum of money.
Keith and Kathy did their best to examine options and the facts that were presented to them and made their decision based on the information they had at the time. They can't wait until closer to Sunday because they need to get the word out to any traveling participants asap. Imagine the response from a racer who has driven a long distance only to find the event was cancelled the last possible second.
Everyone is sorry that the event had to be cancelled, but it was done with a LOT of careful thought and consideration.
