This winter.. My plans were to do nothing much, send in my turbo to be checked, clean and flow injectors, maybe make a headlight air induction for my turbo, nothing major.. So far... I upgraded my turbo to the new 66mm CEA Turbine wheel, new air cooled bb center (old water-cooled ones don't work with new wheels), new turbine housing.. An old friend is making me a quality exhaust manifold, switching over to Ethanol (too poor for VP), skyline GTR rear end on it's way, spoke to Frank about a new driveshaft and axle shafts for the rear, testing the first prototype, and running a very nice CNC fuel rail for 24v BDF head made by 034.. New injectors to flow the extra needed, new fuel pump a little bigger, etc.. Biggest change is letting Kevin take another shot at this pain in the ass car, now running E85 or E98.

Joke picture for views.. Would be nice to mount those suckers right there though.. The new dial gates are very pretty..

YES finally something I'm interested in. Let me know if you need any help.
Are you getting Kevin to tune it?

Finish VR Rabbit, hopefully be ready to hit the track when it opens March 3rd.

Complete TH400 swap, fuel system, fit a bigger tire, and turn up boost in the LS car.

I bought a new clutch pac. 6 puc sprung disc, 2600lbs PP and 9lbs Billit steel flywheel.
Yesterday I bought a Roll Bar, 5pt so i don't get kicked for a 11.50 or under pass.
I pick up a set of 1000cc inj's from Aaron today so going up from 860cc to 1000cc.
I am looking into a surge tank to keep from burning down the motor again when the OEM intank
    pump siezed and caught fire.
This year i am running only c16 race gas and retuning for 35psi.. I figure crank the boost controller closed and see what the GT3076 will produce. looking for 550whp up from 450whp.
differences are 10 more psi, Race gas instead of pump 92oct. alittle more timing and higher rpm's. I want to run it to 8500rpm on the dyno this time and see how and where the power is made and falls off.
    what do you think?

We dissassembled the 010 (3-speed automatic transmission) from our dragcar today and found that we've split a couple of spider gears into several pieces, jambing part of one against the differential housing causing it to crack the diff. Although we've yet to go back to full boost, we can still apply enough power to overwhelm the stock parts (which were designed for about 1/3 of what we're asking of them).

We're going to replace a few seals, adjust some endplay and put the welded unit back into it. That will get us back on the track at the start of the season.

How many runs do you get using oem parts before something gives? Hah that"s awesome! What rpm do you launch at nn what would you like to be at for full boost?

We're still developing the box so I'm not really sure how to answer the first part of your question. Since we don't have a tranny brake, we're launching off the footbrake like a granny heading to the grocery store. We have terrible 60' times but the power stays on the whole pass so it's kind of a tradeoff.

I think it's gonna be the shizzy.

My motor is at the maching shop and should be done this week.

    Bottom is...

2L FSI crank mod'd by Mr. Ed @ FFE
    IE Tuscan rods
    JE high compression turbo pistons

    head is...

    AEB
    FFE twin cam gear setup
Solid lifter kit spec'd once again by Mr. Ed @ FFE
    IE solid lifter cams

I am excited, can't wait to bolt the motor and trans together and get it in the car.

Looks good, yeah pete got me the cams out last week.

I let the machine shop do all the fitment work as he was doing the rest of the motor anyways.

Are you running a high stall torque converter? Likewise I wish I had a trans brake. I asked IPT if they could build me one but to no avail.

Lately. I've been scraping up as much sidework as i can so i can hopefully not have to change the setup at all during the year.

My long term substitute gig got extended through june, so i've got some financial consistancy now, which is a step up. First whole year to really train some kids to Ninja like ability.
