I don't really need to get rid of this but thought I would see whats out there. I got a Green 96 passat that I like to call my rolling swap. I have had this car for about a year and a half and have used it as my daily driver. Used to drive 50 miles round trip to work with this but now only have a 4 mile round trip commute so she doesnt get to stretch her legs as much. I traded a guy here on vortex about a year and a half ago for my mk4 I used to have. It has the old (NLA) Reflex Simple Swap kit in it which means it will plug and play into anything that it CE2 (runs off distributor rather than coilpacks) as the passat was originally a 2.0L. The clear coat is almost gone on the roof and hood (typical for B4 passats I hear), has a check engine light (CEL), and I have changed a couple things since I have gotten it. I could have swapped this directly into my 89 jetta but going a different route with that one. I am interested in anything cool. I like 4 doors (wouldnt mind a wagon) and already have 2 mk2 jettas and a mk1 rabbit.
Some of the highlights (and a few quirks):
-AWP swap from 03 gli with about 70k on the block
-audi tt driver side OEM intake mani
-atp clone exhaust mani
-3 inch downpipe
-ECS vr6 228mm sport clutch with 13.5lb flywheel
-bilstein sport in front and hd in back
-neuspeed 25mm rear sway
-mk4 rear calipers
-ac doesnt work (may need to be charged)
-heat isnt the greatest
-CEL may be due to o2 sensors
-strut bearings groan (need replaced)
-has head unit and bunch on audio stuff
-no windshield washer bottle
Its got its little quirks but it a fun car to drive. Like I said, I dont need to get rid of it. Its just not very practical for me right now. I have a folder full of information on the car as the previous owner did a bunch of work. It has parts that go with it (extra trim).
