While not an official declaration on the subject, I do want to speak to the concern for more Audi classes. While the show is growing larger and larger each year, we still do not get a ton of Audis. The past winners of best audis have been really worked cars from what I recall. Stock cars don't win awards at this show. I remember past years winners being really nice cars, and when it comes to the Audis it's attention to detail that shines the most. Separating S cars from the baser models could help take away some of the glamour of the powerful motors, but a 1.8t with a lot of work done to its engine bay would have an equal footing against a worked 4.2. This really goes or all cars of all classes, VR6 mk3s are not held above 2.0s. I hope eventually we get enough Audis to have different awards for each generation and model.

More than welcome, I need someone to park next to my basically stock TT! Just don't expect either of us to walk home with best Audi lol. It's a really laid back show and it isn't all about the awards. The important thing is to have fun.

Are you going to have a cruise to DoD? Post the link here and I'll add it to the list.

Just to elaborate on the point made earlier - this show is not about awards and who wins what, it's a laid back show that's fun to go to. If you are unhappy about an award winner, you're kind of missing the point. It's more about seeing friends you haven't seen all winter, catching up and hanging out before the "serious" shows start, and there happens to be awards given out. One issue we keep running into is people leaving before we can give them an award. One of my favorite examples was the "Best Corrado" award from DoD2 or DoD3; there were several Corrado's in attendance, but they all left early except one. I found the owner and told him everyone else left so he won by default. He was ecstatic! THAT'S what this show is all about.

I'm not trying to dis anyone, I just want to make sure everyone has the same expectations. That's the reason we have "fun" awards like the "WTF Award", "Best Europlate" and "Best Beater".

There will be a cruise organized by EEM and I'm sure all are welcome. I don't know any details yet but bdubsmk4turbo should since I believe he's organizing it
