Ive always done it with the brake booster vacuum line or any vacuum line that runs highest on your manifold. Does the best job of cleaning all your intake runners and getting to all your cylinders Love that SEAFOAM!

Annoyed that I'm still waiting on my sparkplugs from DBCPerformance. After how much everyone raved about them, I am slightly disappoint.

I ordered the seat drawers along with the plugs, and they apparently didn't have the drawers in stock (even though their site says they do). The dealer they get the drawers from screwed up and didn't give a full kit for the driver's side. That drawer is holding up the order, so now I may not be able to do my plugs before the trip.

Want me to grab the plugs and deliver them to you at WITW? Want me to change them for FREE. Be careful what you say about DBCPerformance. I don't agree. Simply pick up the phone and ask them to send the plugs even if it cost more shipping. I got mine in 3 days.

Just a heads up of something to check! I had swapped to some LB's while I tried to plastidip my wheels when I was swapping back I noticed a screw in my LB's although they won't be the wheels of choice for WITW. I wouldn't of noticed a possible problem with a tire.

So Check your tires it's a lot of driving to get there to drive some more an extra safety check is always good.

    ZPrime,
When they did mine they did it twice, the first assembly did not feel right to my tech, seemed to bind, so he ordered another one and this one is perfect...

I didn't watch him, but was told it's an assembly only part.
Figures VW wouldn't make it easier to just replace the crappy black trim part and save $$$

It didn't take very long either.

    Update:

My Tech replaced my tensioner during the oil change yesterday, was noisy... backing off the lift the new belt came apart, unsure why at this point, so no r UNTIL TOMORROW.
Driving the 2010 GTI APR tuned DSG 4 door, other than Wrong wheel drive, it's a pleasure to drive.
It is sitting in the R's garage stall looking very White!!

W220 is officially sold! Original buyer turned out to be a scam artist/dealer from Chicago. Three weeks of my life wasted waiting on the that SOB to make payment, putting my plans for the dragon in limbo.

Hah, I've never done them myself but it can't be that hard. I have long socket extensions. I've done motor mounts and exhaust and intake, I think I can handle plugs. Thanks tho Cajun!

I'm not sure what you mean here... I'm not pissed yet or anything, after all I didn't pay anything for shipping so it's hard to be pissed that free is slow. I just remember seeing many many good things about their customer service, so I was a little surprised that when I e-mailed about the plugs and explained that I was trying to get them soon, they didn't offer to ship them separately.

at this point I can probably order a set from Amazon and get them before the ones from DBC show up... just that Amazon had a higher price. I was originally going to grab them at [local auto parts place] but apparently nobody stocks the right plugs for an R.

Nice, it's gonna be Bananas out there.

    Tomorrow I'm doing fuel injectors.
Friday I'll do wash job and interior clean.
Saturday I'm painting my bumper and calipers.
Sunday new tires go on. Possible suspenion adjustments.
Monday car hits the shop for DEFCON #2 and UM upper mount bushing install. Then 4 wheel alignment.

I got 100 watt rally lights for my brights but they gotta be HARD WIRED in with a 30 amp fuse and a Relay. It's for my brights and if I catch up I'll install those bad boys. Almost done, sure I'll be working till the last minute.

Also getting a track inspection performed by Texas Track Works. Once we return I can do a little auto-x and maybe a Track Event. Very happy with the car over all!
