I'm 100% cereal about coming from Cali.
I'm number 4 on the list and I've reserved a room with 2 extra beds incase anyone needs a place to crash

I've got 4k in cash for hotel/ gas/ food and I'm PUMPED.
got a service dog and a girl (who also drives) and were coming for the party and staying for the cars.

edit: for got about the turbo .:R too

Yeahhh Nitto NT05's. Considering they will probably only last for like 8,000 miles or something ludicrous the plan is to put them in the back and mount them on the car when I get down there, instead of wasting 2,000 miles or so on the drab highway cruise down there.

Speaking of which, can I borrow someone's jack when we get there?

balls out, hell ya.

we need to be at airport by 3:30 on the 18th, you can rest at my place a little while if needed. Or get some killer food. I'll pitch you a two way for comms and the ESCORT will keep the cops off our backs.

You riding solo? We picking up a very cool friend in Mississippi on the way up. Mind if someone rides with you to Deal's Gap. I'll jump in for an hour or so myself. Promise to be fun, promise to be safe and always promise to be quick.

This is an interesting point. Trying to figure out how many tools to bring. Probably my small box and my jack. With two cars going on a 24 hour round trip, I'm not risking being stranded.

Would definitely use the jack to get the wheels on! And a light couldn't hurt if I must do it when we arrive at 10pm or so I can just use the OEM tire iron to remove the lugs, if I can find the charger for my cordless impact I'll bring that along for whoever needs it!

How easy is it to clean the MAF and what do you have to watch out for to make sure you don't break it? Would like to do this... just don't want to ruin my MAF

Abe I know that the surround + knob is non-invasive, but if they actually replace the entire shifter like John says, that is what has me worried. I'm going to the dealer Thursday for the idiots to look at it for 5 minutes and tell me "yeah now we have to order parts" …. no clue why this requires a "service appointment" when they won't be doing jack to the car.

Guys, I will miss driving TOD this year with you, but really couldn't change dates.
We are 100 miles away from Robbinsville........we had a small detour from Florida to TOD through Opelika, AL

If they are new they would have a chance to break in on the way down....less weight in your car means better gas mileage,,,,just a thought. and saves you the hassle of changing your wheels out twice. I say throw them on now and call it a day. You won't eat up that much tire on highway drives anyway. my .02
