FYI

if you have allergies, or never had them in your life.. you may want to bring your meds or buy some.

I never needed to take any sort of allergy medication prior to my first trip down to the dragon. I have since learned my lesson.

seriously katie83, you will not be disappointed...i drove 13 hours one way last year, solo, from KC and it was worth all the windshield time. i wouldn't have it any other way.

this is the .:R enthusiast event of the year...everyone is very laid back and cool and sincerely bonds over this weekend. you'll learn the secret handshake and everything.

there will be other female .:R and audi owners, plus wives and GF's too, if that is your concern.

i count down the days every year, bet on it.

No my concern is I'm terrible with directions and I don't do much highway driving so I'd feel better if I had someone with me to help navigate.

I'd be down to try out new software as well if it helps.

However, I'm already flashed with UM software (and loving it) so would be willing to opt out for someone who is on the fence and/or could use the free flash. Yeah, I'm that nice.

some of the early birds might be showing up as early as tuesday and definitely on wednesday...see if one or two wouldn't mind wing-manning you in on friday morning...hell i might be up for it...how far we talking?

if the flesh isn't too weak...i'm driving KC to chicago wednesday to 12-hour it down thursday with the chicago contingent and the long ball rally.

So I had an idea I wanted to throw out there.

Is anyone really good (or really enjoy) video editing? I ask because I know a handful of us have GoPro cameras and I think it would be cool if we organized different placements on cars for the run. Afterwards we could all consolidate our video and edit them to show different angles through the dragon.

Just a thought!

ill have a HD if people want to dump some footage.. we tried this in years past and the ball was dropped, or we had HOURS of the same footage..

I have to produce something and credit GoPro since they gave a discount on the cameras.. Im not an editor however but it could be fun to do!
