    Hello my fellow vwvortexers,

    I have a new in box APR front mount intercooler for sale. As you know, the dinky stock intercooler is prone to crack and leak being made out of plastic and all. . I'm looking to get 850 pickup preferred. Here's a picture, enjoy.

    One quick question

    what type of power return would one see if they put a new FMIC like the one above? I suppose assuming your only mods were a FMIC and Stage 1 chipped b6...

    This intercooler kit would probably give you a small increase in power, but what it really helps with is getting smoother power for longer. Since the plastic side mount intercooler gets hot fast and allows heat soak (loss of power due to the inability to cool the air leaving the turbo into the engine) this kit makes that problem go bye bye. Colder air is denser air. Not only is the cooling of boost pressure greatly improved, but this kit replaces the squishy turbo piping which allows expansion and contractions, the biggest problem with smooth power delivery. Your butt dyno will love it.

    I want it so badly! But I have to wait and see how far my health insurance company bends me over with regards to a knee surgery I just had. Nobody else buy this, I'll be getting my final bill any day!
