I think the 78 model had the front turn signals next to the headlights. Believe yours is a 77 or older

Thanks for the replies, on top of the two in this thread there was one PM. I didn't think there would be a lot of interest in this car, but thought I would post it up anyway, as it's a pretty unique car and there aren't many left from what I've seen over the past 20+ years of chasing all things VW. Based on the predictably small response, I don't think I will buy the car. I may try to get a few parts off it - probably the door handles, maybe some other stuff such as the radio if worthwhile. If I had more time (or wanted to make more time), I would probably grab the grille, the bumpers and the vent windows. I don't know if its a diesel or a gas, more than likely its a gas though. Regardless, I will get more pics up this week. Will be back to the place where the car is located several more times this winter/spring.

I'm in need of the chrome outer headlight trim on the fender, and also the right rear quarter panel chrome trim. I have kind of a growing list of impossible to find part, so if these are still available i might have some further requests. Thanks.

I have a 77 dasher that needs most of the front clip replaced after a low speed accident resulting from a break failure.

I am not interested in the grill or most of the trim, already have those. I do need the trim strip on the hood, and the ones that are attached to the core support (assembly that holds the hood-latch and front engine mount.

I live in Portland Oregon, let me know what you've got.
