Hey guys, I'm usually on Audizine but decided to make an account here a while back. My name is Josh, I'm 18 and the car is a casablanca white 1998 Audi A4 2.8 quattro 5 speed. The car was originally my dad's who bought it around 2005 but it ended up sitting for a while, so I was able to grab it.
Here's a pic from way back when:

At 90,000 had the timing belt and water pump done:

Later 20% tint was added, then neuspeed race springs and bilstein sport shocks along with a control arm kit from fcp groton. About a year later the car was mine
Then some kid hit my driver blinker light:

After that I went with some depo blinker lights, which didn't look too bad:

Here's the car next to my Mom's new A3 (The Jetta was her's but the transmission crapped out)

Then one day at work I bottomed out and my whole skid plate ripped right off, which gave me an excuse to buy this:

Later I upgraded to Depo E-codes and clear side markers:

And here's some of the interior:

And that basically leaves off where it is today. Future plans so far are changing the cam chain tensioner which is going on me. So that's going to get started as soon as I get all the parts by the end of next week. Then fog lights with grilles, which I'm trading with someone. Later I'd like to see the car with ECS coilovers, spacers, a roof rack, S4 front bumper and side skirts and later a decent set of wheels. So there's the car, I plan on updating as much as possible on what I do with it also, but since I'm broke for the moment things will be going pretty slow.

Here's some pics of the car I've been fixing up since the summer, it's a 1968 Mercury Cougar Xr7.

The engine was ceased so I had to take the heads off and hone the cyldinders to get all that rust off.

This is how it sits today, still waiting to be started

Thanks man, not sure how I would change it. I really want a facelift console but I'd also like to keep it the brown color. There's probably some dye I could get. And I'm really thinking about doing suede on the roof but maybe in the same color as the stock headliner.

I'd probably have to go custom, I don't think they made this interior past pre-facelift, but idk probably not worth it. But I'd really like to retro fit this:

Got a set of ecs wheel spacers for christmas . Ended up getting too small of a size for the rear so I'm going to swap for some 20mm. Managed to put the fronts on though which are 12.5mm, which ended up fitting pretty good. Here are some pics:

Does anyone know if I have to take off the timing belt to install a timing belt tensioner? I was thinking if I loosen the tension I should be able to uninstall and install a new one without taking off the belt, no?

Just got these in the mail today:

The fogs are a little pitted but these were an awesome deal so I'm happy. Since my bumper's off right now they should be a little easier to make a custom bracket.

Me too I missed having them. Driving at night with just these projectors and no fogs didn't give me too much visibility, I can't wait to get these on and see a little better.

Fogs aren't going to do much for visibility besides lighting up the sides of the road 10 feet in front of you better

I'm planning on doing HID with these later on so that might help more with visibility.

An update on the car with lots of pics, changed the timing belt tensioner on the car:

And my dad helped me mount the fog lights, and since the bumper was already off the car, was a little easier:

    Here's the bracket we made:

The passenger side needed the plastic trimmed for an easier fit so an electric grinder was used:

Then I got the rest of my christmas present in the mail today:

So now I'm running 20mm in the rear and 12.5mm in the front Here's a before and after of the rear.

    Before:

    After:

    And a driveway shot:

yeah I was just thinking that i should debadge my trunk to make it look cleaner. I think if I make enough money over the summer I'm going to pick up some ecs coilovers, and as for wheels I'm waiting for the right moment where I get some for a steal, but so far it's been a long time
