Got my podi setup finally. I have a mixture of the mk6 white gauge and the mk5 pod. It looks damn nice
The install was cake and the gauge flashes red when you reach higher boost is sweet too. Peak boost recall is what sold me Podi

when you say other gauge do u mean a new south or somthing of the like?

if so you cant use Podi's pod bc it isnt deep enough its a very shallow mount bc of Podi's electronic gauges

Exactly which parts did you order to get this setup? I don't see a B6 setup listed and I love the look you got. Any mods needed to make it fit or is it pretty simple to set up?

what you need to do to MOD the GTI column pod:

pop the old one off, youll need to make a slight mod to the PODI pod its very easy all u need is an exacto knife takes a hole 2 min to do.

this is what the underside of the gauge pod looks like b/f u mod it


what u do:
you need to make a new slot (left of the pic) this hole needs to be directly above the old slot (same size roughly doesn't need to be exact) and directly across horizontally from the right slot

Since you have a indigo set up in your car you'll get the Podi kit for the MKV GTI it comes with everything you need except a boost tap, i recommend the BSH one bc it gives you more options if you were to ass say a vac controlled DV or W/M injection ect..

To make it fit better, here are what I sent podi so they can redesign their pods to fit Passat/cc

it literally took 15mins to mod

I didn't do the gutter on mine either, but I did have to cut the tab off at the end on the angle.

I doubt podi will ever make these changes. It would more than likely require a complete new mold, and depending on how many cavities it is it could be a $10-20K investment.

the mechanical gauge wont fit in the Podi pod. but the electronic gauge is def worth the money. Mines much quieter then my new south and much more accurate. also the gauge re-zero's it self every time you start the car

It will but the new south pod is so long and is a stick on. The podi gauge is only a fourth of the depth of the new south gauge

Hmm I may tough out the new south pod for a bit and then upgrade later. I have lots of parts to buy and limited $...

As soon as I get my lemon law money im ordering a votex front and hi def sides. Then Getting the downpipe and springs put on. Then I'm probably gonna redo the tint. Then I go into uni tune & tranny flash saving mode...hopefully after buying all the parts I'll still have $500 off the bat saved up for UNI.

Haha, I'm sending my ecu to uni. Was supposed to send out yesterday but I'm all the way out in Florida. In a week I'll have it sent out and a week to get it back.

How far does the podi bezel stick out? I need a measurement guys.

I'm concerned that the wheel may not be able to turn fully using the new south pod and podi gauge.
