Nice looking brace. What made you opt for the swivel in the arms instead of solid? Just for ease of fitment?

the brace is solid i bolted to the tower. i grabed the brace and shook it like crazy and the car it solid. We took the fox out today in the rain to see how it handles. Can't tell at slow speed but when at freeway speed the car handles awsome. went down a curvy hill road at 70 mph in the rain and just whipded the corners. no tires hopping like it used to. so we decited to see how fast we can go around the corner. 87mph on almost a 90 degree corner that was fun and scary

right now the fox is parked in my garage cause of the crapy weather. come on summer hurry up and also i put some inserts in the midle headlights. till i get a one peice headlight grill

soon as the weather get good for a long time i'll get some 1/4 mile times hopeing for low 12's high 11's can't launch hard though cause the tranny's 1st gear won't hold geting a tranny build by randy's ring and pinion right now

some updated for you guys started some body work on the deck lid this picture is old but some people don't know that that spoiler is made to fit a datsun 510. we at first rushed putting it on the car so we used bondo like i new it it cracked so i chiped of the bondo and used fiberglass still working on it. got a little more to go and gets paint on this monster [IMG][/IMG]

Outstanding! Good to see you didn't sell it and you're doing everything right. Those are some seriously impressive HP numbers for an 8v. Kinda makin me re think the whole 20v idea. I've been tied up in other projects lately so I haven't made any progress. Maybe i'll see you at some GTG's this year? I'd love to see this beast in person.

today i just installed a new boost gauge got rid of the old crapy sunpo gauge replaced it whith a prosport gauge from vtr performance shop this gauge has a boost warning light so if you ever go over your set boost it blinks and sounds go off i like this one also cause it's smoke tint. this fox is becoming better by the moment

ok some updates the fox runs great no problems. doing some body work to it
but i noticed the fox burns a little oil when first start found out the problem .the valve seals are leaking cause my brother used cheap ones just ordered some good ones from TT.
the car burns oil till it warms up then goes completely away. im going to pull the head off but i know you can do it whith the head on. pulling the head just gives me the chance to look at the pistons and make shure that there good even thogh i know they will be

i pulled the motor over the last week sorry i didn't take any pictures i was just focused on getting the car done. i replaced all the valve seals and found one. that was bad. the seal was a little crushed witch caused my oil burning when i first start up. fixed all the oil leaks and now im. going to wait for some good weather so i can go to pacific raceways and do some 1/4 mile runs.

and again sorry for no pics

the tranny on the fox got replaced with a 5m 5spd tranny from a 86 quatom. the tranny has a lsd in it witch really suprized me. but im still looking for the b5 passat tranny more and likely buy it whith my income tax refund. i'll start a new thread on doing the swap step by step and how to mount the tranny

Good lord, that's a big turbo! When do you think you'll hit boost, like 4500 rpm?

and as for the tranny i haven't found the right one yet, but when i get my income tax i'll have one built. Right now i have a 86 quatom 5 spd in there it's holding but when i got it. the reverse has a funny noise. but it's only reverse not to concern

ok some updates i haven't been on here to update in a long time had a few issues with fox i blew the turbo up. what went wrong is we had the oil feed line to the turbo come off the back of the head. and it's not filtered oil. so the reducer for the oil got plugged with a piece of rubber. the turbo got no oil and broke. i have now fixed it with a all new center new fins and all come to find out the holset is a hx35 not a hy35 and the feed line is coming off the oil filter with a inline filter as well for security. that about it for now
