Old vids. Not sure what stage is was here, but it's better than no vid. Doesn't really show it how it is, but anyways. Come to WITW and drive it for yourself.

Well, you're first on the list for taking her for a spin on the Dragon. I'm not all anal about my car. The fun is having other .:R guys taking it for a drive because they totally get it.

Hey Zev! Glad you fired up a thread over here.

I would just like to point out at this time that "Stage Plaid" was originally my inspiration...

IIRC He has a sweet OSIR silver CF grille and rear valance, not sure if the valance still fits though

So glad you've made it over here. I think you'll enjoy it over here more considering the level of activity and such.

Seeing your car sounds like it's going to be a highlight of the upcoming WiTW. I'd love to meet you and take a ride in it. 570 awhp sounds RIDICULOUS.

      So yeah, the Brembo's plus:

      1. H&R Front and rear sway bars
      2. PSS10 coilovers
      3. Haldex Gen2
      4. VF engine mounts
      5. Audi S6 fogs
      6. Some interior stuff

I'll put it all in the first post when I get a chance.

I had a silver carbon fiber OSIR grill, rear valance and mirror caps. I didn't like the look so I had it all painted silver. Then I didn't like the grill anyways and went back to stock for now. Only have a painted rear valance and mirror caps and painted the roof to match. Otherwise 100% stock exterior. SLEEP.:R!! Hmm, plate idea.

Grill gone. Valance still there and fits (barely).

It does seem to be VERY active. I don't know about the highlight, but I look forward to sharing the fun with other .:R owners. I should be pushing 700AWHP by WiTW if the DSG stuff works out. Everything about the motor can do more, it's just the trans that is the limitation.

Keep in mind, this is still a daily driver. It's starts first turn, gets 23 MPG on the HW and I drove it down to SOWO and back (2400 miles round trip). All credit to Jeff at UM for software and custom tuning (which is key) and Further Performance in Minneapolis who did the build, in particular Mike Olson who is the primary builder.

Was built as a street car, not track car. It is a perfectly compliant daily driver with 100% stock interior (with some OEM+ upgrades) and stock exterior except valance and mirror caps. Because I have other cars, it's pretty much become a fun toy that I take out when it's not snowing and the roads aren't salted. But, you could drive this car daily, no problem.

But when you put the pedal to the floor, all hell breaks loose and she goes from mild mannered to monster in a microsecond.

      LOL. She aims to please.

And for the record, before anyone says....I do have clear side markers. The first pic is old.

I say that because on Golf MkV, someone can post pictures of an awesome build and the first comment is "get clear side markers". Just sayin.

      What's up Zev

I love this car and all the power it has behind it, I would love to take over on that beast and take it for a spin........But if I would I might not give it back.......

I live in TX and I dout that I would ever get to go up there where u guys are it seems like that's where all the good shows are, BUT here in TX we do have the Texas Mile a few times a year and I love those GTG........ I would love to see that Beast go down the Mile at over 200+mph and then drive home like nothing happened

U still waiting on the clutches???? Who are they coming from a agin????

I thought HPA had some up graded DSG clutches???

It's sucks that u have all the power but limited by the drivetrain, 700whp would be so sick to see and hear drive the street at WOT

      Welcome to VWVortex

To a fellow Minneapolis-ite. I just bought a DBP R from Westside. (Sorry ) I've seen your car (well, I heard it first) and wish I'd have seen you at Eurowerks this year, but got stuck working.

all those engine bay pics arent around the same time are they? how come one has that little blue thing in the fuel line .. and the others dont .. is that like a mini fuel pump?

and the downpipe .. does that go from 3.5 at the vband then up to 4"?

this exhaust is 4" the whole way ?????? that must sound AMAZING

i love how clean the bay is .. most boosted R bays arent half as clean as this
