Don't worry about the looks of the tatt.

It will fill in nicely once the 50th birthday kicks in.

Anyone else have problems digesting McDonalds the older they get? Does KFC still taste as good as it did years ago? My son thinks McD's is gourmet food and I just suffer a short while later.

Yes, congratulations you have freedom of speech but there are still things you can say that make you an a**hole.

Anyways, on to another topic since this thread is about what's GOOD... I'm not here to start arguments.

I might have a commission to do some painting on a GTI.

    I second this.

So for anyone who works or has worked in an auto shop, have you ever had those customers who are too dumb to use the parkinglot and just drive their car right on into the shop expecting service? These people really annoy me. Some dumba** just drove into the shop today with a big stupid grin on his face. He walks out to the counter and goes "I guess I shouldn't have done that! I called earlier and you said you had time for me, and I saw you guys standing in the shop so I figured you were waiting for me!"

Yes, because you're the queen of freaking England, we were all standing around waiting JUST for you... moron. I've also had a lady do the same thing, she got out of her car and said she needed a tire fixed. When I told her she had to park outside and go to the counter, she goes "Oh is that how it works?"

Apparently common sense isn't all that common.

When I go to Mr. Lube, I drive right in, and get the work done. No parking in the lot/walking up to a counter.

When I go to my tire shop, I drive right in, get assigned a bay, park in the bay, and go to the counter for service.

^drives me insane. When I worked at Canadian tire, it was a huge problem, and not only did it block the bays, it blocked the parking lot because we were so small. No matter how many no parking signs, how many no parking symbols you painted on the ground, people still did it, and when you asked them to move, I'd say about 50% of the time you got attitude. Every once in a while someone would just pull in the shop, that's when I'd lose it. Due to the size of the shop, there were so many things that could go wrong, ending up with people pinned against the wall or bench...

Big Dac, this wasn't directed towards you! Some shops allow it, and if that works for them, then great, but it's a huge annoyance in a shop that docent...

Meltdown on Dufferin just south of King had a big clearance sale on all snowboard everything 8-11am Saturday morning. Way to advertise guys...I found out when I walked in at 3pm and saw these hastily printed signs all over the place. :/

And as for the McD/KFC comments...I was told when I was younger when your body (not your mind! ) hits 30-ish, that's when it tells you you can't digest the food you previously subjected it to, and oh, wait, you're also going to gain weight for no reason. lol

"I remember when...." Church's Chicken was pretty good, it was a non-greasy alternative to KFC. Then even THAT went downhill. It's getting harder to find something in the way of good food (and NO, Timmie's is not food!) when you're on the highway travelling someplace. That's why when I go up to the cottage (north of Sault Ste. Marie, a 6.5 hour drive) I don't stop anywhere except for a wee break...I take my own food which is healthier.

Yes but all Mr. Lube's, Jiffy Lube's, and other oil change shops all advertise that you just drive on in because all they do is oil changes and other small stuff. When it comes to an actual garage, you can't just drive in and go "I need my brakes done" and expect someone to take your car right away. And as far as a tire shop letting people just drive in, I've never even heard of that lol.

We get people coming up to the counter asking for service and when they're told it's going to be a couple hours they get all pissed off! It's like they can't understand that there are other cars ahead of them... I remember one day a guy got all pissed off at us because it was going to be like 3 hours... there were probably at least ten work orders in the rack. But apparently he was special and shouldn't have had to wait.

One of the few things I have learned in my limited time on this earth, is you only need one near death experience to understand risk management (that happened elsewhere). I wore full leathers and a fullface helmet so even if I had crashed I would have been fine (assuming I didnt hit anything)

But I have wiped out at ~65-75 and it was awesome, slid on my back for 100' then got hucked into the bushes off the road. Helmet was shot (wore through the plastic cover) and the leathers look untouched.

JoeRocket Leathers + HJC helmet = pain free crash
