So, with great sorrow I'm throwing my beloved stefanie up for sale :-( She is not an easy sell so please don't insult me with lowball offers. I am only selling it because I have to.
Stefanie is a 1986 Golf CL that was a full restoration and has been swapped with a top to bottom built ABA 8v with tectonics everything and CIS injection. She now has 11k miles on the swap and has been used as a daily up until I bought my porsche. Chances are, if you've been to the NOVA shows you've seen her around. Dual rounds, fresh chagall blue paint with alpine white Speedline Turbine wheels (the only set on this side of the ocean) and a roof rack sitting on some FK silverline coils. She looks great. Probably not a 10 because the body shop didn't work the dents as much as i would've liked to, but i have people all the time stop me and tell me this is the cleanest mk2 they've seen in years. There is no rust ANYWHERE on this car. I have gone inside out on cleaning it out an inspecting it since the day i got it. she is super clean. Honestly, the only thing that hasn't been replaced on the car is the body; with 170k miles, everything else is new from TT, FK, Hella, Motul, and of course, the mothership that is VW. Just as an FYI, She has no power steering but the AC and heat are great. I would like to see 4,500 for her OR a partial trade for something of a beater +2000 cash. I'm welcome to anything that is mid '90s or newer, especially Saabs Volvos or mk 3-4's (2.0 or VR6) but give me a try. I would require cash on top though. All maintenance is caught up, she is turn-key and ready to go to a new home. PM me and we can talk specifics about her and set up a good time to come and visit.

I've had several questions so here is more info on the build:
Head is a GTI head with TT 168 cam, big valves, new TT springs and seals
TT high flow cat, alum exhaust with SS dynomax muffler (diesel hangers)
Trans has poor mans Peloquin kit
Axles up to 100mm
R32 front bushes in control arms and strut
Brakes are 11" front and converted to discs in rear, braided steel lines
Installed GTI gray door panels and they are mint
new inner and outer sunroof seals and door seals
Clear Hella tails, clear corners and turns
headlights have the HD relayed harness
GTI flares (small bumper) installed that were NOS when installed a last year
Fuba roof antenna
badgeless grill
Skip the beaters for trades. Might be interested in nice MK1 (no rust buckets) for a future build plus cash on your end
