Give your local VW dealer a call and give them the following part#

Is it safe to assume that the use of the word "clearance" means that the dealership would have to have them in stock?

If it fits the Jetta it should fit the JSW.

Anyone heard one of these? How do they sound versus something like an AWE system?

I called both of our local dealerships here. Neither stock them but one said I could order it from their warehouse for that price. This is tempting. I've got an AWE system on order. Supposed to ship by mid January. It's $650. I chose it based on the vids I listened to on Youtube (and the price wasn't bad).

It's hard to ignore a $400 savings though.

Nevermind. I just read the posts in the Jetta/Golf forum. Everybody says the system sounds great. I'm going to order one now.

Just ordered it! Be here Friday.

Guess what I'm doing Saturday morning.

    Merry Christmas to me!

If they can cover their costs selling these for $219 it's plain to see that the profit on them is staggering.

Thanks for the heads-up to VW1.8TBO!!!

I just ordered mine too - what a deal!!
It's just a smidge louder, and certainly looks better than what's on there.
Did you install yours yet? How do you like it?

The guy at my parts dep't didn't know about the deal, and bought one for his JSW.

    2 more sold this morning!!

Haha. Techtonics makes great exhaust. That's the system I was going to buy. Once I saw this I hopped on it. So pumped Haha.

Well I will say the TT sounds a bit "smoother" than the Votex one. There is a slight rasp almost rattle in the middle of Votex. Hard to explain but I parked side by side and was doing a comparison. The sound out the rear is pretty much the same though...

Also you will need to get a larger exhaust clamp. The one supplied with the Votex is the OE diameter

Unfortunately VW doesn't make any TDI sport exhausts. Probably because they don't give any more power than the stock one-just replace your rear muffler with a straight pipe for more sound.

My sales guy is saying VOA is now sold out. Only availability will be at local dealerships now (or 3rd party retailer/wholesalers -which probably won't be the clearance price).

Mine came in yesterday and I installed it last night. You will need longer bolts for the rear clamp. Other than that, it was a super easy install.

Can you get the dimension of the bolts that work better?

I think a lot of people would rather go into the install with them rather than halfway through.

    Thanks!

Deff need either larger bolts or clamps for the slip pipe. Luckily I had some laying around.

Sounds good to. Hard to hear it fully with the intake going and my roof racks Haha..

Just ordered mine today from a dealer in Fall River, got the last one. Parts guy had no idea these were on clearance. They're down to dealer stock only. The next closest one would have been Hartford but your local dealer can check other dealers stock. Anyone know the size of the alternate clamp that's needed? Thanks for the heads up on these. This is quite a deal.

Mine came from Texas to new York Haha. I don't have sizes of the clamp. Once you get the parts bring the clamp suplied to an autostore and get a slighty larger one. You see the supplied one you'll have to open wider than it is. Once you do that the bolts will be way to short. Like 4 inches or so short. Best way to describe it. I had clamps laying around from an old catback that I welded in instead. Clamps were for a 2.5inch exhaust if thatch helps..

If you're in the Portland/Vancouver area, Dick Hannah still has a couple. I just put one on hold for me today

Just got mine installed today...and it's Perfect!!

Not too loud, not too quiet, looks great too.

Only mistake: Getting it installed at the dealer, cost nearly twice as much
as the local shop would have charged... Lesson learned - and at least I'll
never have any warranty worries, I suppose.
