When I gained access to edit the database, I asked about the fields. Here's what was sent to me re: the "Verified" field:

Verification: This is the field that verifies whether the car has been picked up by the owner. Y for yes, N for no, and the date that the cars were marked as verified on the database is in parenthesis...

In my little logical-leaning brain, to me - if you took delivery, you're verified. Also, if you took delivery, I should have put the username in bold face, as a quick way of knowing delivery took place. (I'm forgetful to do that sometimes )

Thing is, there are those folks - like me - that happened to stroll onto a lot and bought (i.e., 'took delivery of') a Golf R that someone else decided against, or the dealer got one in unspoken for, or whatever. So, am I verified? Did I 'take delivery' or is that reserved for folks that placed an order and took delivery of that order? I don't know what the proper answer is. So I look for information from the posters to help me figure that out (i.e., "Place my order with Bob at Joe Schmoe VW on December 12, and picked it up on March 5 - 2 weeks earlier than the projected delivery date.") The more info posted, the more fields can be populated

EDIT: Database updated. Went in and put all usernames in bold from mid-April (when I started making changes/additions) through today's entries, if delivery has taken place. I think there are 2 that I have entered, that have not yet taken delivery - and one that has taken delivery, albeit in Germany

I tend not to look beyond this thread for data. I may start scouring the sticky'd Delivery thread, to help fill in some blanks.

From the way I see it, you're verified regardless of how you bought your car, you just didn't have a delivery date if you bought it from the showroom. I'm not too worried about it, this database is for our use, it's not some official government form or anything so let's not worry about it too much.

Added a new field for model year as 2013's will be possible soon. So therefore, please post if you have a 2013. Everyone on the database right now is listed as a 2012 as none of the 2013's have been delivered yet, so let me know if for some reason your car hasn't arrived yet and will be a MY2013 when it does.
