i do love the all black theme many run, however, i really love the interior of the car and want to tie it into the bay in a few spots (valve cover being the most obvious). i hope it comes out looking good when all is said and done... if not, i tried and will go back and redo it to my liking... thanks for the comps jens

his is, but think he went with a flat krinkled finish... and like i said, i wasn't sure if it was the look i wanted because (no offense to anyone that has this or will buy one from mike) large flat surfaces aren't really my thing, but mike did me a favor and "mocked" up one of the extra manifolds he had and sent the pics... what i wanted wasn't doable in the amount of time i had but between running the covers or this manifold, you are correct i "like em enough to buy one"

so more progress as the deadline approaches....

as mentioned, the valve cover was sprayed to color match the interior...

i had asked for a different radiator cover than what he has been using... seeing the temp switch up top was driving me nuts so asked him to finish the end with a circle and i'll go back and paint the vw logo (color matched to the interior) in the end circled portion of the rad cover....

their finishing up all the coolant hoses and they installed a new heater core. clamps drive me nuts so mike didn't mind spending my money and getting me some nice connectors for the hoses... thanks for sending me the invoice for the connectors... nothing like reminding a customer how expensive petty things can be....

and as usual, mike takes a arsty-fartsy pic that makes my day...

    take care,
    nash

wake up brian, wake up.... nah... i'm not the secretive type. nothing here people haven't seen done many times over, and besides, defeats the purpose of sharing your excitement in a build thread...

so much has been done except for my horrible updating... lol... apologies ...

got the TT chip in to help squeeze a few more aggrasive ponies out this motor. mike got it solder'd in place nice and snug...

got the gruvenparts pullies and fuel bracket back from the powdercoaters....

the front end is beginning to look like a front end again....

air lines ran to the rear....

installed shifter parts new shift housing (donor housing bearing bad)

and as mike said "Your convoluted overly complicated dual beam HID system" is getting there...

so as you can see things getting closer and closer to being complete...

mike and the rest of the guys are pushing hard to get all this done so again much goes out to mike and the crew at eurowise....

    take care,
    nash

thanks, but wish i loved them during the builds... of the 10,000 things that can and do go wrong with builds, especially builds with a tight time budget, its hard to love.... but sure once it's all said and done, i should be feeling the love...

so haven't posted because of ^^^^^^^^^^^^ had a big set back but spoke with mike earlier and looks like progress is being made today.... he said if the car is running by tonight he'd either send or post up some video of it....

having said that, there is a possibility the car won't be ready for sowo.....

mike insured me they'd do everything they could to have it in an operable condition, so best of luck.... and if more obstacles do pop up, so be it, car won't be ready for sowo but we will....

    take care,
