benched again tonight
went wide grip with my index fingers around the rings, It still feels weird and will definitely take some getting used to (i'm weak I know but even 95 lbs felt shaky) but the most important thing IMO? no pain in my shoulder, I'll call that progress
also, I read an article on T - Nation about how floor presses help relieve shoulder pain, How the hell do you guys implement this, for the stronger guys I can see where this would be less of an issue but I tried it tonight at the gym and it's either I can't create tension and move the weight off the floor, or the weights are too short and I can't get the bar on my chest, any thoughts??
on a side note, ever since I have went to a lower more carb conscious diet, my beer intake has been cut considerably, tonight I had one craft brew, and feel EXCELLENT a win win

Believe it or not one of my clients pulled a dead today with worse form than Chilled's wife. His posture was really starting to break down around 330. He went for 370 and it was a complete mess so I told him to stop. He insisted on trying 400, and I told him "you're a grown man, so do what you want, but as your coach I am NOT okaying this."
he managed to pull it but it was TERRIBLE. Fortunately I got it on video

Unfortunately, I was feeling really good on my off day (Sat) and decided to run a little. Did 2 miles at a 9:30 pace, which is pretty remarkable since I haven't run any distance in 15 years. Unfortunately, the reason I haven't run in so long is because my knees are fing shyte and my left one has been in horrible pain ever since. I can hardly go up or down stairs right now. I powered through my monday squats thinking it would go away, but it didn't so I'm taking the rest of the week off from legs in the hopes my knees will recover. I guess I will just stick with the bike for days when I want to do some cardio
I'm not even going to post what I lift in here because I am a weak ass ***** compared to you monsters
I always just play it safe and if I can't keep my posture I let it go. If im doing a set of 5 and I feel my posture weakening after a couple reps or even 1 rep, I'll just do singles.
Post some DL that are closer to someone's max .
She pulled 275 today and went up like nothing at the meet this morning !
Yes, pro powerlifters DL every day.
It's all about squats and deads.

Anyhow today at the meet.
I came in 1st for 275 weight class for both of mine
She came in 1st for 198+ weight class for hers.
And we both came in 1st for combined max weight
She weighed in at 200 even
I weighed in at 245 even.
I went for 400 on bench and couldn't lock out.
I went messed up my second attempt on DL due to my knees .
She went for 115 on bench and didn't wait to drop.
She crushed 275 and should of went for 315 from what everyone said there.
Baddass fun that was for sure.
Next time I will do 1000 pds at 242 !
