I have no calves as well. My glutes quads hams are big, but my knee area and calves are piss. I started running last night actually, to strengthen around my knees and hopefully help me calves a bit haha. My heart rate isn't at it's best in the gym so I figured I'd run instead of hit the bag or hit the tire this time, to benefit my lower legs

Ont underestimate what snatches and cleans will do to you, if you don't do them regularly. That's what stood out to me at least

This is NY Rangers rookie Chris Kreider trap bar deadlifting 530. Fastest skater in the NHL at 21 years old.

    http://youtu.be/ZBE2yHNMIUo

Is there any reason to use the trap bar over traditional? Different muscles worked?

Can't figure out how to embed

trap bar is a lot easier on your back because the weight isn't out in front of you. The lift is also more akin to a squat than it is a deadlift really.

There is ZERO reason to deadlift past 5 reps IMO, maybe 6. You think you can't put on size lifting heavy weights with low volume? Save the high volume stuff for glute/ham/back work. You WERE doing it like a crossfitter; they're the only ones who deadlift with high volume...

I don't really consider 10 reps high volume... But yes, crossfitters do suck... On a serious note though... My gains working 10-12 rep sets with the last two almost reaching failure were way more than training with heavy weight for lower reps...

I use this method for everything though, even the 100lbs dumbbell shoulderpresses.. Works better for me
I dont want my J-Lines anymore...

I hear ya, but on 5-6 reps you don't really get that lactic acid feeling... Which is caused from exhausting both your short and fast twitch fibers... Exaustikh both is where you get the most growth

    progress:

so I STILL don't have my diet pics from Vegas. My buddy has them on his computer and is being a real pain about sending them to me. Kind of frustrating that the first time I actually do a good diet and look really good....I have no proof.

in other progress I shaved my head and I still like girls with giant boobs:

    Jesus H.

Making some progress in the diet department; just discovered the glory of all natural peanut butter. WHY NO1 TOLD ME IT'S SO GOOD!?!?!?

I would approximate that since the beginning of the year, I've been about 75% religious about going to the gym when I'm scheduled to do so. I'd like to get that number up some more, but other things come up. My weight has fluctuated less than 5 pounds either direction, but I've definitely acquired more definition in my chest, shoulders, arms and legs. I think my back too, but I never really examined it before I started working on it. My lifts have increased significantly, when my shoulders heal, I'm going to get all new numbers to compare. I feel awesome (almost) every day. And ladies f*ckin' LOVE it.
