Had 2 hours off between classes today. Hit up the school gym. Split boxers doing kettlebell swings.
Lesson learned. Don't workout if not wearing compression shorts.

Ultimate Fire Protection
Testing for local police department on Oct 13. They require a 1/4 mile time of 1:45 and a few weeks ago I timed myself at 1:15 at a local schools track. Made 1:09 today with a light wind against me down the first straight away. How anyone runs a 4 minute mile is beyond me.
I should be fine for the test regardless.
Ugh..Knocked the damn rust off today it's been way too long since I was able to hit the gym. TDY to Czech Republic and the gym there was too far and was terrible.
Anyway decided to try and test my squat max's out today after not squatting for about 3 weeks. Worked my way up to 300 went for 305 and my buddy had to help a bit to get it back up so I guess I'm at 300 for a 1rm. I think I could have gotten that 305 if I would have skipped the 300 and went right for it but not a huge deal at least I know where I'm at.
Going to stick w/ the 5x5 for a few more weeks and try to get my 3x5 work sets up to 300. Then I want to try out the 5/3/1 program.
I'm looking forward to having everything programmed out for me. I looked back through my training logs, and despite a few setbacks, was still not impressed with my overall progress for the last year or so. I think my figure changed quite a bit, but, my numbers have slowed down quite dramatically.
Hopefully this, plus a bump in calories, will have my progressing again. Just gotta have patience.
One thing that cracks me up abolut those who lift with gear or who are on gear: they never bring it up. It's only bragging about their numbers.

Not sure who you're talking about but just to throw this out there I'm not using any type of "gear" other than a belt on my max sets.

I just pulled 432 for a single. Beyond ecstatic. Even more stoked about 405 strapless. My grip has come so far in a short time.
Hahahaha I just always start with a 10 on each side to make it "45". I typically ignore the extra two because they're in my favor. It's easier to count if the bar is 45 than 27. But for max. reporting, I added the two in. I'll take everything I can get.

Dead(sumo) : 315 x 10 - had a rep or two more in the tank, but lost my grip on one hand at lockout. Felt like that guy making a total racket.
