      Squat question for you guys.

I started warming up with a 5 plate under each heel. This allows me to get deeper in the squat and when I remove the plates I can get deeper for my work sets.

However with the plates under my heels I still get deeper than without, and overall just feels better and my form stays better. Is there any negative effect to doing my worksets with the plates under my heels? I can get almost ass to grass with them but not without.

Is there any actual store that you can find them? The thought of guessing the shoes I order offline may or may not fit just perfectly, makes me cringe. I don't want to risk sending back and trying another size. I know people are always like, oh the run just like all Adidas do, but idk. I'd be up for like cheaper do wins or whatever if I could just try em on first. I've been doing the whole barefoot/socks/or chucks for too long. I want the real thing

Not that I know of. After seeing a bunch of my clients buy Do-Wins and how long they last, I do not recommend them as a shoe. I would say either go with the Risto or the Nike.

you can work on your ankle flexibilty, too. That's what is holding me back. It messes with my form

True. I'm not sure if it's hip or ankle flex with me, though it feels like hip issues. I'm making an appointment with a coach soon.

About the lifting shoes, do they all have pretty much the same height heels? They're pretty damn expensive, but I found some brand rogue fitness that has shoes for around 120.

I have pretty good flexibility now, I'd say my best yet over the years. I'm just interested in spending money on some sweet lifting shoes lol. Not funny actually, I'm not great with money.

I'm considering not lifting for a while until my shoulder is pain free. Opinions please.

Go see an Ortho Dr. I went last week for my shoulder pain that I have been having now for the past 5 months., self medicating on Advil, and it not helping. The Dr. gave me a script for Mobic, an anti-inflammatory drug, a couple days later my pain went from a 6 to a 3. I'm due to get a shot on Wednesday to help finish up the healing, he said I should be good to go in couple days after the shot.

No not all of them have the same heel height. If you're going to spend $120 get the Ristos. Wooden heel, all leather uppers, hand made, privately owned small business.

The white AdiStars look so ****ing tight. I'm sure the nikes are legit, I love Nike but they look like crocs in the store pic

I used to have a pair of adistars. Loved them to pieces, then someone stole my gym bag from the gym one day. Never replaced them (out of laziness)

now I do everything barefoot, but it would be nice to have another pair for squats

Did more front squats today. With shoes on it felt difficult and I almost tipped over briefly. Kicked them off and the weight got much lighter.

And the smoke-show intern girl approached ME in the gym. So I asked if she wanted to grab drinks after work before she's done for the summer.

185x8 hang cleans (no squat) today

i've barely gotten back into squatting on this knee so i'm probably just gonna keep bangin out 185 until i get my wheels back... i'd feel pretty dumb getting stapled by a 205lb front squat

Squatting deep finally. Had to lower the weight substantially but i also had to lower the safety bars another notch. Stoked.

Who gives a **** what they look like? You are wearing them performance, are you really going to buy a lesser quality shoe because of the way it looks?

After wearing a shoe with a true wooden heel I'll never go back. You can visibly see the compression of the heel on the Do-Wins, Wei-Rus etc...

If you are considering a big name shoe I'd go with Nike. I won't purchase Adidas or Reebok products since they are sponsors of CrossFit.
