LMFAO, you must tell the story in here.

I squatted 330 for one last night. New PR. Also hit 225 for a front squat (pr).

Just a tad shallower than I normally get, but I like the depth. Form seems pretty solid to me, I get a bit of forward knee travel, but I don't think it goes past my toes, and since it's a PR, it's a bit expected.

It was at this old dungeon powerlifting gym I used to train at. The kind where everyone knew everyone, and it was just a bunch of ****ing meat heads. Really good lifters though, multiple guys with 800+ squats, 500+ bench presses.

Well one day this guy was finishing up his workout, and he was just being an idiot and messing around on the reverse hyper machine. I guess he was swinging it back and forth with no weight on it, acting like he was going to hit his buddy with it. Apparently he let his junk get a little too close to the hinge and, voila, split his schlong right down the middle.

I wasn't there for it, I found out about it a day or two later when I went in to train. Supposedly they were able to stitch it back up, but the dude was screaming bloody murder. He was a big mofo too, probably competed in SHW. So I can only imagine this huge monster rolling around on the ground holding his dick.

EDIT: Squat looked pretty good man. I think the depth was okay (though kind of hard to tell from that far away). It looks like you need to get more comfortable sitting back in your squats. You hip break and then almost immediately shift your weight forward.

I love deadlifts, thanks guys for getting me on them. I feel so strong when I'm doing them, even though I am only up to repping 185, and pumped up when I'm done. Funny thing, something I didn't expect, but I find my abs giving out first, I never would have though they work the abs but they are with me. Am I doing it right?

Yeah it is. I did a 5x5@275 on squats two weeks ago. I think it took 5 days for me to not be exhausted. Had to skip deadlifts that week from it.

They definitely hit your core, but I'm not sure I understand your abs giving out first.

Had to go down 40 pounds on the bench to go from 1x5 to 5x5 yesterday

What I mean is at the last 30% of the move at the top, where you transition to standing straight. My abs are shaking as if they can't take any more. Same as when I start back down just in reverse. So what I am saying is the last 30% of the move is my limiting factor to adding more weight. I would think the first 20% of the move, in the beginning when your just pulling the bar off of the ground, would be what limits the weight.

That's where my weak point is for sure. It's all legs and mine are apparently weak.

I think it's an important lesson for people to learn, especially beginners. It's way more important to go home with progress and success than bragging that you tried some number. People sometimes see me pile on 45s and then add a pair of 5s or even 2.5s. They go but it's only 5 lbs... yeah when was the last time your lift went up 5 lbs? If instead of failing a 50 lb PR every week, they put 5 lbs on every month, that's 60 lbs a year, instead of 0. It was one of Coan's rules - avoid failing. I'm sometimes guilty of not following this advice when I'm feeling stupid but whenever I do, I always go home feeling more satisfied.

I fall into that about once a month just to push it.

What I need to do is start off working closer to my max .
Right now for DL starting off a 315 is seeming to be a waste, its barely a warm up.

Are you using Melanotan 1 or 2? Any sexual sides? Melanotan 2 is supposed to make you ridiculously horny.

      More non-conventional training I'm doing.

3-1-0 Anderson front squats, to pins (set at parallel). So 3 seconds down, hit the pins, wait 1 second, then up. Did 8 sets of 3 with 275, 1 minute rest intervals. Smoked my quads, but my abs are even worse - I could barely climb out of my car this morning after driving to work.

And I've lost 2 pounds. Somewhat of a goal of mine is to lose a substantial amount of my spare tire before I get married in May. Cause certainly the time to look the best I have in years should be the time I'm signing my single life away for good...

Progress: After taking a few months off last year, I'm back to picking up heavy things and so far no complaints. Been swamped at work and this, oddly, has always made me more productive at the gym because it requires a more rigid schedule and I have absolutely no time for TV or boredom. I won't be running for office again this spring, so that eliminates one other distraction.

Currently, my lifts are starting to approach, or surpass, all my numbers from pre-break. My weight is back up, but I feel more solid than I have in quite a while.

New PR was 590# pull. failed on the first pull, barely even budged, annoyed me enough to go again and once it moved it was slow but reasonably smooth up. Previous best was 585 prior to my break.

      +++++++

Side rant because I'm annoyed with looking at TNation lately:

I know a good bit of this forum had, in the past, regularly visited t-nation. Is that crowd still around? Has anyone followed "The Indigo Project" forums and feeds?

Personally, I haven't been impressed with anything I've seen. In fact, a see a ton of mediocre, at best, physiques with even less impressive results given the amount of supposed technology involved in supplement production.

This is not to say there aren't some good participants, but I was a little underwhelmed by the fact that Christian Thibaudeau is conducting the training and still has, by far, the best physique of anyone in the project. As a person who sells a service for a living, I would never tout my successes personally as my business's success. It’s as if my sales pitch is, "I make lots of money with my personal investments, I can get you similar, yet inferior, results with your investments...please use me."

everyone uses melanotan 2 these days

a lot of people complain about nausua for 45 mins of so after injection but I've had no problems. But it makes me CRAZY horny, for like 4 hours and it's worse than cialis man. it's pretty intense.

i tanned yesterday for only the second time and my color has come out even more since my last post, I have a shot to take today and I'll spend some time in the tanning bed and I think its going to put me right where I want to be. pretty cool stuff and really cheap

I can only assume this implies that you don't think highly of Thibaudeau's personal results. I hope you're not saying you wouldn't be interested in the opinions of the elite (who, by definition, will not have a clientele which exceeds their own achievements). I'd personally give a lot of weight to the opinions of Warren Buffet on investing, or Usain Bolt on sprinting.

I'm actually stating the opposite, I think his personal results far outweigh his clientele, and I think his personal results are amazing but the results of the considerably large amount of work and dollars his clients throw at it aren't as amazing. I'm underwhelmed, not blind.

      .

Thibs is selling a service i.e. his training and supplement methodologies, that Tnation essentially gives away for free, with the purchase of the supplements. What I'm suggesting is that the people that are regularly seen in that program aren't at an elite level, and to me it seems like a poor ROI if after many months, the only remarkable user is the guy who outlined the programs and supplementation. Obviously, its about selling supplements and making money, it is a business afterall.

I've been following it quite closely since it first came out and they hosted Indigo Group 1. Ultimately, it's a supplement made from blueberries. I think a lot of the results are from people really getting serious about their diet and training after dropping a couple hundred bucks for a months worth of supps. That being said, I don't know of any other supplement company that has supported their product the was Biotest has, so hat's off to them for that.

I just shattered my PR of 250 dead lifting and got 300 up twice. I'm beyond stoked. An excellent start to my weekend.

Squatted 170 kg/375 lbs tonight, but it was a bad day. Going to give it another shot tomorrow.

Also, I want to try Indigo3G. I like most T-Nation products that are just a more efficient way of putting down calories. But I remain curious about some of their other ones. The testimonials on Indigo have been pretty good from random users on the site that have tried it out. The dosing protocol is a little bit ridiculous though.

I've had about a week of no pain, so I decided to do a little lifting even though I'm on doctors orders not to. I worked up to 300x8. Not bad considering I haven't really squatted since September, and last night I tried full Oly style. Legs are feelin it today

      excellent work, regardless of sex.

Has anyone else experienced tightness in one hand while lifting? My left feels tight up my forearm and is giving me some difficulty gripping the bar proper. I think I could have dead lifted the 300 more than twice, but the bar was slipping out of my hand throughout the lift I've just been stretching it out the last couple days. Any other suggestions?

Benched 275 against doubled monster minis (around 100-115 pounds of tension). Previous PR was 275 against doubled minis (80-90 pounds of tension). I'm not gonna lie, the conjugate method is improving my bench big time.

My last raw "max" was 360 with a pause on the chest. I'm hoping to get to 380 soon with a minimum 120 pounds of carryover in my shirt. Gives me a good chance to break my school bench record of 501.

My grip is what goes first for me. When I get over 325 I can't get 3-4 reps in without my wrists and knuckles feeling like they are going to explode.

Carpal tunnel? I've got it and I have similar issues.

I've noticed no symptoms before the lift, although it could be the strain that made it apparent? I'm not sure, though it seems to be close to back to normal. I'm hoping later in the week I'm good to go again. I want to get at least a set of 5 in.

      This **** is addicting.

Get some chalk. You wont have any bar slide in your hands.
