My buddy is painting my car. His brother owns a huge body shop over here in OH. He can get me all the supplies free and Im just paying labor. For being a friend hes only charging $700 to paint it. Its getting full respray, engine bay, jams, and underneath.

You are getting a deal then. I do all my own work so no labor just paint cost. Doing half cups, smoothed and shaved bumpers and fenders, mk5 hatch emblem/latch and maybe Audi gas flap.

Im shaving the rub strips on the doors, my rear emblem, hatch handle, and hood notch. Im not sure about the bumpers because I wouldnt know what to use. And arent they way less flexible that way aswell?

It's unbelievable how a set of fat fives and some new taillights can completely transform your car from kinda ricey to clean.

I like the direction you are headed with the car, I look forward to seeing even more progress in the future.

    Good stuff bro.

Thanks man, I would love a set of RC's/ Im just way too picky with wheels. I want them to be as close to perfect as posible. My FatFives arent perfect, but for what I paid it was a hell of a deal

I just got my first ticket yesterday. I was pulled over for running a red light. i went through a yellow, but the cop said i have enough time to stop. He ended up letting me off with a tint ticket so i wouldnt get my liscense suspended, he was a pretty cool dude. He also told me to mount my front liscense plate. Today I removed my tint and mounted the plate. Ill get pics of fishbowl status during the day tomorrow maybe. I figured Id post pics of how i did my front plate though.

Why not bend up a liscense plate?? I was told by a cop to desplay it on the front of my car anyway possible. Im not drilling holes in my bumper, so why not fold it up and zipt tie to my grill?? It looks kind of like a short europlate if you ask me
