So lets do a background here:

-i had a few vw's and an b5 s4 in the past (sadly totaled now) but ive moved on to better things lol
-had a vw gti that i bought already big turbo with a 3071 etc etc and gave it to my brother for his 98 b5 a4 sport 5 speed. He had built his 1.8t and did a 3082 turbo setup which had a fully built motor and all the odds and ends which i did almost all of the work on besides the initial motor build which i give credit to my buddy jake formerly of DWGarage.

    pics of big turbo gti

    and the a4
    Photobucket

-Since the trade i got sick of narrowband tuning and bought a complete b5 s4 minus the motor and swapped in my 1.8t along with a 2001 harness and ecu and flashed on my eurodyne maestro software.

pics i have from the swap

i decided to do a nice electric fan conversion too which freed up some pretty awesome cruising power which is pretty noticable.....wired the fan to its own relay and spliced it into the existing temp sensor switch to come on at 93 degrees.....works so much better than the factory one (highly recommend this)

and the engine bay as she lies now......photo cred goes out to d90dublady

Dont have exterior photos yet and besides....the car is on stock suspension and a stock a4 bumper till springtime

    Full specs:

    Motor:
    -aeb block and head
    -supertech exhaust valves stock size
    -brute rods
    -stock bore and stroke
    -stock cams (for now)
    Turbo setup:
-Atp t3 logger with pagparts wastegate extension welded on
    -tial 38mm gate
    -hta3082 turbo
    -forge bov
-aluminum 2.5 inch piping all around with garret core intercooler
-3 inch turbo back custom exhaust by jims custom exhaust in rhode island (awesome work)
    -AEM tru boost controller
    -AEM air/fuel guage
    -630cc siemens injectors
    -Eurodyne maestro
    Clutch:
    -ecs rs4 oem clutch conversion

Yea it's different. I've had a 2.7 but they end up costing too much and my 1.8 was already built

Hey man I'm sure the info is around but figured I'd ask you. How do you go about wiring the relay for the electric fan and do you have the part number for the shorter belt?

For those interested in the electric fan wiring you can either follow most fits directions and wire the fan directly into the a/c fan or you can use a separate relay and have the fan come on at a certain temp like i did. here is the diagram below

Note that the coolant temp wires on pin 2 and 4 are for two different temp settings. dont cut these wires off from the harness just splic in an extra wire on each one with a female quick connector of your choice. then put a male quick connect on the relay wire so you can switch from high to low temp triggers on the fly if need be. mine comes on at 93 degrees.
