Official Wuste 2012 Colorado Caravan/Rally

This year to keep the club affiliations out of running separate caravans Bluewater Performance along with other local companies would like to put together one multi club caravan to Wuste. We also planning on getting enough sponsorship money together to where all of the rally stickers are 100% paid for so that anyone coming to the caravan can have the stickers and other goodies free of charge. We are also working on getting some other national companies such as Integrated Engineering and Forge Motorsport to help sponsor with some freebies to give away. More details will slowly trickle in during the next few months and we will have an official banner that can be posted on all of the other local forums to distribute. wish i would have known since i already hired an artist for a logo and started getting the wheels turning on the Colorado Caravan.. Same as last year.. no club involvment as well!! Glad to see I am not the only one looking forward to a Colorado Caravan to Wuste this year.

Happy Friday!

I would like to start off by explaining this event, “WusteRallye”, fully to everyone. This event was created as a way to get all the Colorado based VW & Audi clubs interested in attending Wuste2010. Just because I am the person behind the scenes on this event does not mean that WusteRallye is, was or will ever be a MetroDubs.com event. This time last year there was Edition 719 and MetroDubs slated to attend Wuste2010. So I got the great idea to follow in such great steps like the DagBall Rally, GumBall, Snowball, and similar to get all the cars in Colorado a fun joint excuse to go to Wuste. It did not and still does not matter what club you are in, or even if you are in a club. All I wanted was to see 30-50 Colorado cars go to this great event.

In 2010, WusteRallye was presented by Dubs Along the Rockies, and then sponsored by GoFast Sports and Beverage, along with the two clubs going, E719 and MD. We had close to 30 cars join us for that drive. Guess how many cars were NOT in a club? About 1/3 of them. A group of cars from Pueblo, Colorado came up and joined the drive. No club affiliation what so ever. We all got along and it was a great time!! We ended up all hanging out in Vegas during the show and in between.

This year is no different. WusteRallye 2011 is just that. A DagBall styled rally that it's only intent was, and is, to bring the Colorado scene closer. Not have one club, or another, draw a line and divide the scene. That is not what any of us want. I admit that I got a little carried away. I personally did not define the difference between MD and WusteRallye.

I have been hearing from every side of the coin, “Why are there two or several drives headed to the same place?” I am also confused on this matter. However, I have listened and I feel there is a great solution. Lets all forget about the clubs!! The only way to move forward is to put aside what ever petty differences there might be and just join up and roll together. For crying out loud, this is about cars, not personal egos. Just like the main event, Wuste2011, this rallye is for everyone, no matter who or what.

So, I am personally extending an invitation to Chad and the VW Union members, along with Rocky Mountain B5, Audizine, DubZentrum, Edition 719, DCI, and whatever other club is there to join forces and go out to Vegas as one big group. I want people to join this drive if you are NOT part of any club. Why can't we all be a part of a huge group of “This is what Colorado has to offer” or something a bit more catchy..

Who is on board for a drama free, free cost and free fun on a great drive to a great event?? Lets all sit down, redefine WusteRallye, and try to get a game plan that is equally enjoyable for every VW, Audi, and Euro headed to Wuste2011!!!

glad to hear.. I am starting to get feelers out for the Colorado Caravan again! it is really a no brain-er... but still something that needs to be planned and set in stone.

I am looking for a DagBall rally style event for this too... where EVERYONE in Colorado (or surrounding states) that wants to join can! with no drama!!

In reality gabe, I think it's great that you are actually putting the effort forth with this. Of course the colorado caravan is all that I And others wanted from the beginning. There is no doubt it will be much more successful with you and Hardey putting this together from ground 0. Of course you have the full support of myself and i will speak for everybody in metrodubs as well. We all just want this to be a huge presence of Colorado cars at Wuste.


And hell, this will free up some time so we can focus on some colorado based events!

Anyway - It was really nice having Gabe and Hardey around last year - I'm sure Nate would agree lol. The few times MD members linked up with us it was fun: Rob, TBW, Dave W and a few others (even though Rob and I almost got busted with major speeding tickets..lol)

Safe to say that the dates will be May 31-June 4 based off of this so start planning.

Why are people pushing Gabe and Hardey to get the exact time that we are leaving RIGHT NOW? Chill out people we still have 4 months! They are both good guys Id guess they wont maliciously plan for you to miss any of the show sooo that means we will probably be leaving on the 31st pretty early (like 7:00AM) so plan on that
