How about some more practical applications of car parts that people use on a day-to-day basis in their homes?

Reminds me of all those independent auto parts stores with piston ashtrays and mechanics who use car bench seats for waiting room furniture.

For years, we had a Christmas tree self-waterer that my dad built out of our old Chevrolet's coolant overflow bottle and auto tubing. To keep it from being too ghetto, Mom made a fake giftwrapped box to cover it.

I've been wanting to do this once I can find a repacement set of fronts for my B5. Is there a DIY or is it as easy as just bolting up an office chair bottom to the seat lol
