Even though the R isn't a V6, the exhaust is really throaty, I'm really happy with the sound. Now if I can only get it to gurgle like my '04! The engine and exhaust are noticeably louder in the cabin that my '10 GTI.
The clutch has a similar feel to my GTI, one difference is the addition of the hill holder, it was really weird the first time it kicked in.
For me, it seems that the shift points are a little different than the GTI, so will just need to take some getting used to. But the acceleration is noticeably quicker, and the throttle response is almost surprising. I almost clipped a car when I was changing lanes, I wasn't expecting the sudden increase in speed.
Grip was great in the one corner I got to fling it around today.
It really reminds me of my '04 R32, which is still the best car I've owned up until now.

Our car arrived late today! Too late, unfortunately, to perform the PDI and take delivery, but we will have it tomorrow! One minor issue to sort out with the bumper, but I won't let it spoil the awesomeness!
