Hmmm... this is an interesting comment (as are the past few comments).

I searched, found and bumped this thread because I just started watching this awesome show THIS WEEK!

I'm currently through the first 5 episodes of Season 1 and I'm finding it completely hilarious!

    So.....
What's the consensus on Seasons 2, 3 and 4? Should I just give up on this show after I complete the 1st season, and then move on to other shows I've missed?

(Other shows on my list to start watching from Season 1 are: The Wire, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire)

The first season is the best by far. Season 2 is not bad, Season 3 is...well should have been the end. Go on and finish the series.

    Thanks for the input guys.

Much of my TV watching is on my laptop during my morning and afternoon commuter train rides (1 hour 20 minutes each way) so I mve through whole series of shows quickly. I might just bail on Eastbound and Down after I finish the 1st and 2nd seasons, and then move on to something else (probably Boardwalk Empire or The Wire... but I'm also considering another comedy, so I might start with Arrested Development from season 1.)

Well, you at least have to see the Jason Sudeikis episodes in Season 3. He made them funny.

I'm in for Season 3 then! I didn't know Jason Sudeikis made appearances on Eastbound & Down. Thanks for the heads up.
