Does anyone have the proper coding for a '12 GLI with the functionality Jettadude1 described?

      - The alarm horn does honk. It's very easy to tell as you can hear the sound coming from right under the windshield cowl. It's also a higher-pitched sound.
      - The car horn is separate. The only time you should hear that is when you honk it (it has a louder sound).
      - Parking lights should flash when you arm/disarm the system.
      - The alarm should go off if you access a car door, the trunk or the hood. The alarm will rearm itself if you unlock the doors with the fob, but fail to open any doors within 30 seconds (maybe 45).
I searched the forum and couldn't find it. I don't want to buy the kit and not have it function how I think it should. This website specifically say GLI coding not available, but who knows how old that info is...

Has anyone found the option for curb assist (side mirror angles down for parking) in vag-com? If so and you haven't been able to get it to work, have you tried this?

"I have folding mirrors and I discovered that if the switch is set to L and I select reverse it auto dips the near side mirror so that you can see the curb. If it is set to 0 or R it doesn't dip. Its amazing what you find out by accident" - http://www.vweosclub.com/forums/show...4&postcount=13

I have seen the option on VCDS. But it wasn't clickable!

Wow that is extremely interesting. I have an SE with conveinance and I have right side controls since I did a gli mfsw swap. Maybe we should post this in the vcds section..let me do some research...

Edit: I don't have any reason to believe that our cars lack the hardware to pull this off seeing as how the car already monitors fuel electronicaly. Going to poke around in vagcom. What would help probably is a TDI scan which has a similar cluster and has these functions.

as it currently is no but that doesn't mean its completely eliminated. :thumb up:

First thing you would need is a new steering wheel. I believe the cluster in the s,se, and sel are identical. Hard part is figuring out the coding but I'm already in the works with that. I keep this updated:thumb up:

Edit: cluster in S might actually be different seeing as how they have different engines. But coding wise should not matter

How about ALL doors unlock at once with one press on keyfob. Anyone do that?

Don't want to press unlock twice to unlock the passenger doors. Want it all with one click.

Can you make the car start with one press of the start button instead of having to hold it down?

I had an '11 SEL with KESSY and it needed to be held down, but on my '12 GLI, it's just a single press and does not need to be held down. Not sure if it's a MY change or the different electronics in the GLI that support it...

FYI, my '12 SE auto conv/sun does NOT tilt the sunroof, it slides it as far back as you want (by holding the unlock/lock button.)

Thank you for this thread, btw.
