I would guess he primer flat-blackened it, took off the trim and lost the rear bumper.

well they are the same cars i fiberglass bondo-d the body line to blend to a point.. havent seen it done b4 so i figured id do it.. and i would like to eventually drop a vr in it. i also have a supercharged 8v engine i could put in. havent really decided yet my money situation isnt quite where it needs to be yet due to going to school and all. i can only think of a couple people round here in the oakland county that own mk1's. the mechanic that taught me has a 84 diesel L flat black. gotta love those diesels. i need to make some connections in the area for ppl with vdubs, i would like to truely be a part of the community.

Love the car...been looking at MK I GTI's...been thinking about doing one as a rallyish type build. This is about what I'd want mine to look like.

    What are the wheels?
    1980 Diesel 4 door Rabbit L - yellow one
1981 Diesel 4 door Rabbit - tan one
One or both soon to be among the living...

yea i love the mk1 rabbits, for me the less seams in a body the better it looks to a point, and the wheels are ASA 16".. and the paint is actually a VHT 900 deg brake caliper clear.. hard to find in stores i find its the only one that works fairly well.. funny story she just blew a fuel line so im taking her off insurance and going to start the tear down so subscribe and enjoy my journey with me guys.. thanks guys

changed my mind on the engine ect.. i decided that a 2.o is way to common... so either 2.5l turbo. awd.. subaru or rotary engine with rwd!! but any ways i started gutting the other day..
