So i started the Revell Porsche 911 3.0 RS
To be honest, it's total crap, and i know what you mean by seeing the box cover, the car has no mirrors or wipers, plus a lot of parts are off-scale and nothing fits well.
I hated building this car, probably my last revell.

I painted the Tamiya 1/24 1983 Audi Quattro
car is pretty much done, no pics yet but the chassis, interior, enginebay is all done, body is painted, only need to do the final installs, put the stickers on and take photos, feels so good to build a tamiya after fighting with the revell porsche.
Yep that's the wheels that came with it, they were full chrome so i painted them black and silver.
Size is ridiculous, like you said, and the tires are two halves you have to glue together.
The whole thing really fits poorly, the hood doesnt even close all the way because something pries.
Glad it's over haha
I opened up the Carrera tonight just to see for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find an entire extra set of tires loose in the box. I figured Revell tossed them in to fix the scale. Crappy thing is they're the same size as the set already in the box. Not sure why they sent the extras. I will just use some Fuchs out of my parts bin from a tamiya.

It's been no updates for a while now, it's because snow melted and i have less time to spend on modelling, but it doesnt mean i stopped
There is a 996 gt3 in the works, it's almost done in fact, i have a few body parts to repaint because of some weird reaction the paint had. Rolling chassis and interior is done.
Hey guys! Long time no updates!
I finally finished my Tamiya 996 GT3
It's not perfect nor my best, but i was anxious to finish it after a whole summer not touching it
Here it is:
And one more on the shelf:
Next one on operating table:
Tamiya 1/24 1985 Porsche 959
Oooo - wait 'till you build that sucker. Since you built the Fujimi 930 Turbo, you probably know what you're up against. That is a challenging kit, loads of fun and really nice when done, but boy, oh boy. It's a tough one.
Here's mine at about 50%

^There's a reason Fujimi gives you those little stands to display the engine on if you want. They're brilliant!
