    Awesome build!

I'm in process of a VR6 swap into a Vanagon (rear engine layout like the Porsche) and came up with this for my engine cradle. Thought maybe it would give you some ideas if needed. Subscribed!

it makes me happy you read every single post. Sorry but since then i have gotten the 993 front calipers. now the hacked up junk front end will still be my pride and joy. its all fitted and welded up 100%. i guess what makes it so enjoyable is that i hacked up a completely solid clean title porsche for one less overnight elitest to own and that makes me

dont pat yourself on the back too much, I could really care less what you do with any of this crap because none of it was worth owning in the first place. Im just having fun watching you drive around the block to get across the street.

what can i say, i enjoy driving my cars. see thats where the Vr6 turbo is superior. i can beat on it all day every day and in the end its a more sound, more powerful, cheaper to maintain option. whats the porsche slogan? drive it to much, rebuild time. drive it to little, rebuild time. i mean what a great thing that must be

    I'm confused. What just happened?
It's your car, build it how you want. As long as you enjoy it, nothing else matters.

yup. fits right up in the wing. lots of room on turbo side, little tight on pass side after intake manifold was added but still plenty of room. going to mount inter cooler up into wing

Hey Brad, there may be a valve cover that doesnt have the PCV bump on that end for the vr6, i dont remember what motor its on,might be thinking of a 24v though. Believe its on a eurovan. Might give you more clearance in the wing with the intercooler. Just something to look into.

lots of good progress since i last checked it out keep up the good work Brad. We going to see this car at a local show this year? Midwest Volksfest, or H20i perhaps?

  34. 08-01-2012 10:36 AM #139
definitely at H20, possibly to midwest volksfest

some stuff going on lately. extended studs installed so i had to replace the rear wheel bearings in doing so. centers are stripped and and powdercoater. more turbo parts have shown up as well as my inline tstat since i deleted the plastic tstat housing.
