Anyone know What side view mirror will fit the GLI other then the GLI mirror. Someone either tried too steal mine or just break it for the fun of it, but now I need another one and can't really wait a week for it to come in. The parts dept has a Passat one, will that one work? It seems to be the same size ??

You know Clyde, I kind of figured that by looking at it, but its probably a different part # between cars built before and after April. And without the vin of a Passat built before April it would be hard to make sure its the right one. I can always count on you to be a wealth of information.

Guys I didn't see this in the first half of this thread but am I the last person to realize my wipers automatically slow down when I come to a complete stop?? I have the SE with conv. and sunroof and if I have my wipers on low (so constantly going) when I come to a complete stop they slow down to intermittent. Again not sure how far behind the eight ball I am but thought this was awesome.

Anybody know where to get color match platinum grey spray paint? Besides paintscratch.com....they want $35 a can.

    Dupli-color doesn't have it either.

I am going to grab an APR Stage 2 downpipe for my 2012 GLI, and so far my estimates have been all over the map for install hours on this - from 2 hours to 5 hours (!!!) - Something is up here.

Anyone who has done it themselves or can chime in on a reasonable time for this so I can weed out the bad estimates?

    Thanks!

I believe it's the number of days until service. Every 365 days or 10,000 miles.

Thats what I thought but didn't keep track of when it changed compared to mileage.

Nothing in there but an interior trim removal guide (which is probably my guide). Furthermore, you've restricted this guide behind a member wall.

If this is my interior trim removal guide, please remove it. I don't want it on a site that solicits donations and forces users to sign up to have access to it. It should be freely available to all without restrictions or hoops to jump through.

I did mine myself, it's really not that hard. The only hard part is getting to the top bolt underneath the factory intake. I got quoted $250 so I decided to do it myself. You will have to cut a little off the factory exhaust or the down pipe too mate up. I suggest you fit it all up with the clamp and then bring but to an exhaust shop and have all the clamped areas welded for a leak free exhaust. Because no matter how tight you get the clamps this down pipe with not bend so you will always have a leak, a very small leak I might add, but a leak mine the less.

Man I thought we used to be cool with each other. It's not your guide so chill further more the reason I have it behind a free member sign up page is to limit the bandwidth usage by free loaders looking for other people to do the work for them since I am restricted by having a free site. I also only suggest donations and DO NOT REQUIRE them for sign up.

glad to know its not mine (i couldn't check because it took almost 3 hours for me to get a login). even still its annoying to force people to signup to access information, especially when users here on vortex have helped you with your questions and issues while doing installs without asking you to do the same.

you could just as easily post the information on vortex and not have to worry about bandwidth, and it wouldn't seem like you're spamming your site trying to draw attention to your ESP harnesses for sale.

There a reason for that and a lot of good sites have a wait time, it keeps the scum out. Also makes it like a member site should be, exclusive. Yes you can get a lot of info on here but then theres a lot you have to sift though to get the good stuff, where as on my own site there's only good stuff.
