Which hotel did the majority of you guys stay at? I know some who had a bunch of cars towed on Sunday just to get their cars out of the hotel's parking lot. Drunk mofo's passed out in their cars, blocking others in etc.

According to one of the SOWO guys this year everyone will be over in the field. They'll be locking the place down with security at night + huge flood lights for those who want to park + detail their cars & let them sit overnight for awards. I'm sure people will hate being there but not bad if it'll cut down on a**clown's stealing all sort of sh*t from cars.

at the Quality Inn last year people messed with my roof rack and center caps. ended up losing 2 center caps on the way home because of it. I guess they broke them trying to steal them.

the helendorf is were the party is at, EVERY NIGHT. If i was you, id get a parking spot as close to your room as possiable......and leave it there all weekend so you don't lose your spot.

I normally wouldn't do this but here goes (hope i don't get into trouble)

I stay at the Bavarian Brook Rentals 95.00 a night. This set of apartments is right across the street from the show and next door to all the main GTG areas of the place. Zimmy can tell you more about the spot if he wants but it's freaking awesome and the rooms are nicer than any of the hotels in town (plain and simple). I say this because i am a little stuck up and am very picky about where I stay. not only are the Rooms a little cheaper than most other places but they are clean and don't stink . I stayed at the helandorrf (sp?) and the room smelled like an old BBQ pit and I thought the room was utterly disgusting. not to mention I was up all night worried about my car being damaged. that year someone just jumped into someone else s car and smashed into this fking awesome mk4.

Now if you call them and get one of these rooms early (like now) tell them you want rooms on the office side of the street. Across the street is also good, but the year before last a friend of mine was parked in this weird under house garage thing and someone stole his TH Lines. But my side is way to open for any of this.

My suggestion to anyone going is; one stay where you want, my next suggestion would be to at least call this place. and if you stay there more than 3 days you get 1 day free. Plus you can walk to any of the party places and not have to worry about some drunk asshat douchebag either smashing your car, or steeling crap from it. The parking spot for most of the rooms is literally right in front of the door on the office side. some across the street too but you run the risk of the under house dark spot that was mentioned above.

I have reserved room 10 for the next 5 years but room 11 is right next door and is just as nice. pay attention to the pics or ask them if it's up or down stairs because they have both.
