Though I am not a fan of cabrios, that color is money and it appears to be coming along nicely.

i also wouldn't say i am a cabrio fan, but i've had the MK3 GTI VR6 and Jetta GLX in the past, and wanted to complete the trio of body styles.

i've been told the swap is 98% done. Just need some new properly fitting plug wires and the C2 flash should arrive today. it should be running by days end!! s hit just got real yo

Wow your build is looking awesome. That color looks great. im going to do a metallic brown on my mk4. whats the color so i dont end up with the same.

Ill prob go a little darker. and less expensive.

It is an Audi Exclusive color called Ipanema Brown Pearl

If you are looking at brown a few of the others i was looking at were: Audi Teak Brown and Porsche Macademia Metallic,

well i finally got to go play with the car again today for the first time in a while. I didn't want to get in the way of the masterminds doing the real work, so i figured i could do some arts n crafts type stuff... like putting Rattle Trap sound deadening material in the car. now this is no small task because you need to be a master of a box cutter and a little roller wheel and the ability to cut shapes to any shape you want and not conform to anyones guidelines.

so here's some pics




i wasn't using the heat gun, it's beyond my skill level of equipment. it was just in the pic as a prop

yup
paint took longer than expected which cut the time line down by 3 weeks to put everything together. engine isn't firing yet, and the whole interior is waiting to be put in once the dash can go back in the car.

but the air suspension does work

Brian you made a hell of an effort to get it there and as you know these sorts of extensive projects often take longer just due to the multiple details that you encounter that crop up in the process of doing the build. You can certainly be proud of what you have achieved so far.

uhhh yes, thats how we know it isn't firing.

Did you already install the chip? Plug in the instrument cluster and make sure the check engine light illuminates. If it doesn't correctly install the chip, or try a known good one.

the CEL will come on with the Neuspeed chip in the car but not the new C2 Motorsports chip.
