Anybody else pumped about this? All of their albums have some musical golden nuggets in them but IMO their last 3 have been sheer genius.
I can't wait for this to drop, as soon as I was done listening to ObZen I wanted another.

    I'm looking forward to it.

Although, I think Obzen is my least favorite. Destroy Erase Improve and the None EP are my favs.
    Deal with it.

I have my fears, but they do not have me.

    agreeeed.

I prefer their groovy off tempo beat stuff to their grinding repetitive stuff but like it all.

I pre-ordered this last week. I'll be holed up in my room for a few hours after I get it.

Super stoked for this, as Meshuggah is one of my top 5 favorite bands. I listened to the itunes samples, and I wasn't as blown away as I'd hoped though. We'll see. The songs are all pretty long and will probably have multiple sections. I just hope there is another song that is = Bleed & Future Breed Machine.

So far this song is pretty

With that said Jens is doing something weird with his voice that I'm not quite sure if I'm feeling it...kind of this long drawn out drawl thing.

Not bad, I dig the deep groove they get into but I really hope there are at least a few hard and fast songs on this album.

Alright, I've had the album for a couple days now. First impressions were that it was slower and more industrial sounding with beats and riffs that slowly chug away. I wasn't overly amazed by anything but the more I listen to it the more I start appreciating the details.
It's worth a listen for sure but to be honest Obzen was better.

Finally had a chance to sit and listen to the whole thing.

And holy crap is it awesome! Waaaay better than expected. And dare I say, the demons name is surveillance is one of my top 3 meshuggah songs after future breed machine and bleed. I am also going as far as saying, I think as a whole it is even better than obzen.
