You are obviously a big fan the Adam's Detail Spray, why do you like it so much?

I am looking for something that cuts down on the static cling of dust to the car. My current fav is Finish Kare 425.

So, after you have used it and go for a short drive, do you have a collection of dust on the hatch?

nope, i mean there is some dust because its pollen season. The hatch creats a low pressure system behind the car which can end up making the hatch very dirty if you kick up some dust or dirt.

Adam's Detail Spray Quick Detail Spray Clay Lube

A better name would have been Instant Car Detail In A Bottle, but we didn't want to brag!

What do you say about a product that cleans, shines and protects just about everything on the exterior of your car? Adam's Detail Spray really is like an instant car detail in a bottle.

Use Adam's Detail Spray on paint, glass, chrome, wheels, grills, and trim to safely clean and shine with just a mist and wipe. This product is so versatile, it's crazy!

When you're short on time to wash your car with a bucket and Adam's Car Wash Shampoo, Adam's Detail Spray is the answer. That's because Adam's Detail Spray is an excellent spray and wipe waterless wash solution. Most cars can be completely and safely cleaned in about ten minutes with less than four ounces of Adam's Detail Spray. Your car will look like it was just washed and waxed.

Do you need a solution for bird and bug crud? Adam's Detail Spray is the answer. Keep a handy four ounce bottle in your glove box for the critter litter all over the front of your beautiful car. Just mist and wipe, and the critter litter is gone.

Our exclusive paint protect formula also makes Adam's Detail Spray a safe and effective lubricant for Adam's Detail Clay. This powerhouse combo cleans and smoothes your paint like no other paint cleaner can.

For a better wash and dry experience, after washing and final rinse, mist Adam's Detail Spray over your car and dry with an Adam's Great White Drying Towel. Here, Adam's Detail Spray acts as a drying agent with a kick. The kick is how fast your car dries and the just waxed shine that returns. In a word, WOW!

Use Adam's Detail Spray under the hood to dust and clean all top-side surfaces. Use it to wipe down door jambs and trunk sills, too. You can even use Adam's Detail Spray on the interior of your car as a dusting agent to wipe down your dash, console, door panels and seats. Just mist your microfiber towel and wipe! It's so easy, never streaks, and it smells great!

detailersdomain.com has some good sales going on for wheel cleaner. Just ordered today along with a new bucket w/wheels and grit guard. Never ordered from them but everyone raves about the wheel cleaner that turns purple when it's working.

lol no, thats the description from adams and detailersdomain. but adams makes good stuff. Um tree sap is usually pretty sticky. i suppose it would depend on how long its been sitting on the car. if it has just fallen detail spray may work, but u may need a bug/tar remover or clay if that doesnt work

so thats why your car looks like crap, or is it because its a mk4? same difference water can sort of be used in some of the same applications as detail spray, but not as many. some people use it when claying but it doesnt have any gloss enhancing properties and if you spray it to get rid of slightly dirty spots it will be wet and leave water spots when it dries. I like detail spray for things, if you like water and that works for you then good for you

Just in case somebody took this seriously: The detail spray has lubricant properties. That is why the same spray is used for clay detailing cars. If you did use water for claying or spot detailing, that spot of crud could end up gashing your clearcoat.

I like detail spray for things, if you like water and that works for you then good for you
LOL must be bc it's a MKIV then bc I've used detail spray before for clay and it makes no difference. The paint appears to be just as glossy using water. As far as wiping down dirty spots I spray the water (or spray wax) on the area and wipe it down with a microfiber with no water spots. I often question the good some of these products actually do, and if it's just a gimmick to get you to buy one more detailing item. Don't get me wrong I stand by using clay, polish, glaze, and wax....it just seems like a little much sometimes when I can produce the same result without them.

    BTW

water acts as a perfectly good lubricant if you keep enough of it on there. it's only when you dont have enough there that it becomes a problem. I probably spray two bottles worth of water when using clay on the whole car.

been using this method for plenty of years to know that it doesn't damage the clearcoat.
