Being Canadian, I never had a chance to enjoy the long weekend of MLK day, so i was quite shocked to see the village, let alone the mountain slamming busy.
Drove up Friday evening, the 13th of January. Snowing pretty heavy on the highway up, but managed to make it to our condo in good timing. The studded tires helped a lot for sure.
woke up to this
Riding in new snow, however waiting in 20 minute gondi line up.
By 11 am, this showed up.
And this
By 2:30 the sun was out in full force.
the wife had time to make snow angels
Peak to Creek
Coming back to my car to prep for driving to the village
And, since it was MLK weekend. there was a lot of idioticly dressed little girls running around.
And by 930PM, the night barely starting.....I had to snap the first arrest of being too drunk in public.
Was over all a super fun weekend.
Sunday didn't have us sliding snow. But being only an hour and a half away it's not hard for me to head up again.
