The first couple of pics are heading out of Wiccamucca, NV. The canyon had a "road closed" sign. I took it anyway and it was great to be on a road all to myself. The rest are Oregon. The last set of the "Cafe" .... There was a brand new sign that led me and plenty other to believe it was opened. there was electricity and clean water running. After I took a photo of the bus stop - a bus stopped right in front of me thinking I wanted to get on, WTF. lol We are going to be in Bend until Monday morning. It is very much like Boulder. I loved Boulder.

Thank you guys, I am really amazed at the # of people finding this interesting and still following. I hope I can encourage others to take the chances in life. I hope I can encourage us to get back to being a community.

Funds? ...No. This is really an adventure. I am really gracious for those who have help support us in hospitality, encouragement, and mercy. I have spent weeks without $ despite what people may assume. There is a ton of sacrifice- I am not like some of the others I have seen begging for money to sleep in a motel or eat fancy. I use McDees for Wi-fi, i do not buy anything of pamper. I buy food from the store at about 20-30 bucks and ration it out for 2 weeks or so. Barely making it that far, but it works. My biggest issues are Polo and the Bike. The Bike failing or Polo getting sick are the only way I am willing to stop. Sometimes, I do get bored- you know what I do?? I get off the bike and walk it. I just want to ride my bike in fun, not to get to A and B, or find Jesus. I am pretty adaptable.

      Additional funding sent via Paypal.

I'm confused about you not knowing what's around you on your routes.
You're not doing route and sightseeing research when you have free wifi opportunities?

Had a great day with some passionate folks at Ahearne, Ristretto Roasters, and Sugar Wheel Works. Thank you Joesph for the hospitality and time. Do not lose the focus, somewhere someone needs your bikes.

Well if you're headed the really long way around to Astoria there is a huge group ride from Portland to Pacific City tomorrow!

edit* I forgot to mention, some of use will be camping on the beach after the ride in Pacific City. I know it's a long shot, just thought I would through that out there.

Some of the pics I took today at IPD. I won 4 raffle prizes- lol. Then the "bad" that happened crossing rail tracks. ops:
Now I need some welding. At least the bike is not 100% fubar. The rack cannot go back on til I get a new tab welded on.

I had plans to visit the Southern Euro Gathering, but due to the broken mount ear of my rear rack - I do not like leaving my gear or dog behind, So I have found a beer to visit.

I too just stumbled across your journey. Truly amazing and inspiring! I really love seeing the photos and reading about your journey. You bet I'll be following this one!

I'm not sure where you are headed after Washington, but I assume east. I live in Issaquah which is east of Seattle so if you ride through here, we'll be happy to set you up in our livingroom and cook you a good meal! I also have a dog, so Polo will have some company

      Good luck and be safe!!!

Thank you. I'm not sure how directly to Seattle we are going. I am using it as a means to get onto US-2. We may head out on US-18 to US-202 - something like that.

202 is very nice for a scenic route but it's a skinny road and I don't think there's a bike lane, or much room for a bike. Also past Fall City is a lot of winding roads so be careful!

And 202 is just a hop, skip, and a jump to Issaquah, so if you change your mind or want to make a pit stop, always welcome.

Why isn't this being shown on cable? Less compelling stories have made it there.

Here is something very odd.... how much do I weigh? 135 lbs.

So apparently I am doing something right to not have lost weight, but actually gained it !?!?? or is it the elevation of damn near zero? I left home weighing 128lbs.

Muscle weighs more than fat (in theory).
Riding so much each day, you've burned fat, but increased leg muscle mass.

Or maybe you're retaining water. Is it that time of the month?

Ha ha, I did have many beers since last Tuesday.

Here is a picture of the box from IPDUSA. They are shipping the raffle items I won on Saturday. 7 tickets won 4 items - What luck!! I just wanted to share as some of you are not on Facebook.
