All depends...weight, route, winds, etc. 7-300 has a cap. of about 45K gals. I'm sure some of the drivers will chime in on the exact usage.

You're born, you take sh*t. You get out in the world, you take more sh*t. You climb a little higher, you take less sh*t. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what sh*t even looks like

That's classified. If they told you they'd have to shoot you.

So all finished my flight. I have to say the 777 had the widest, tallest cabin I think I've ever been in. I guess the 747 cabin I was in 10 years ago was bigger but I don't remember it as bigger. The flight was super smooth. I guess it was the weather more than the plane, but I've never been on such a smooth plane.

As far as American Airlines goes it's not as nice as LAN (flew LAN on the way down AA on the way back) I'd never heard of LAN, but their business class 767 had way more room than the AA business class on the 777. I had 3 full windows to myself and way more leg room and the beds went completely flat. The beds on the AA 777 business class go flat but slope down at an angle with your feet jammed into the seat in front of you. The configuration on the LAN 767 business class is 2+2+2 on the AA 777 it's 2+3+2.

Anyway, all that to say that the 777 was a nice plane, but the service on the LAN 767 was much, much friendlier.

Even worse than Sunday. It was around midnight on Friday.

I gave my buddy who is a nervous flyer the window, the looks on his face were priceless near landing lol

Looks like the new 787 has pretty big engines too.

I knew this place that tested Airbusses' planned composite stabilizers against lightning 30 years ago. And, don't shoot me!

    Something like this:

since some of the interesting facts seem to have not been post in here i got a few. BTW mech on them since 98, run/taxi qualified. it has main gear steering but only the aft truck turns, fwd 2 are stationary. each engine has a primary and backup generator.

Are the 777 engines bigger or smaller than the A380 engines? Which are more powerful?

Also, are the world's longest routes flown with the 777 or is that served for the 747 and A340? I read that the current longest route (Singapore/Newark non-stop) is done with an A340.

And finally, on many YouTube videos during take off there's a lot condensation at the intake of the engine? Why? And is this common on other jets?

That's all the questions for now.

Yup, the longest route currently belongs to A340-500/600.
I've flown Sydney to Abu-Dhabi non-stop on Etihad A346 and the flight took 14.5 hrs.
Taking on them mountains. One hill at a time.

Engines: Depends on what engine the aircraft is outfitted with. Rolls Royce Trent 800's on the 777 are a touch smaller than the Trent 900's on the A380. But, if the 777 is running GE90-115's, they're a touch bigger than the GP7000's that could be on the A380.

In humid climates, air condenses in the inlets due to the massive pressure change.

Only thing Ive ever worked on is the PW40, 98,000lbs Thrust. Engine config. is all dependent on the airline.

I have flown 777's many times. I like the 747 for sentimental reasons, but the 777 is pretty dope in my opinion. Lot's of leg room in coach, modern interior and a smooth ride. The best seat is to be near those massive GE-90 engines as they spool up at take-off.
