I be trollin - Honda was making piston rings for Toyota for military purposes in the 30's. If you wanted to get technical about it, the first "Volkswagen" wasn't a Volkswagen at all, it was a Porsche. Honda made motorcycles post WWII out of leftover generator motors used for radios, didn't get into the car scene till 60's(indeed), but that's b/c Japan won't allow dual "citizenship" (hard to translate)- either Honda was a motorcycle manufacturer or a bike manufacturer. Read up on the history, it's quite amazing. And, it was 1938 for the first "Volkswagen" which was a name for the car, NOT the name of the manufacturer - sounded better than Kraft Durch Freude...

Oh, I was gonna say. Yea, I read up on him in the past. But his piston ring company was different than the motorcycle company. He sold the piston ring company off to make the motorcycle company. So another technecallity there lol. Just the way you typed it seemed you were serious haha.

I don't have any dash space for it. The stereo slot is taken up with my heater valve lever and some other random bits. I'll just be running a small amp under my dash.
And come on, on a mk1, does doing anything take less then 20 minutes? Some other issue will always come up and turn a 15 minute project into a 3 hour one

I second that. Albeit wires wheels are not "vortex" approved trendiness, that car was the deal. Super clean build with class.
