Need links/advice: Air dam and/or splitter MK1 Scirocco

I am trying to figure out some options for the MK1 Scirocco that I race.

Currently, I have nothing on the front of the car (just the unibody) and looking for options to ensure that that the car is planted at high speed.

Searching the internet hasn't yielded good results.

Looking for links to new or used.

You may try these guys. I bought a Rabbit one from them in the fall. They had a few left at that time.

One of the fast SCCA Scirocco racers a few years back had a nice splitter made that worked really well. They are not too hard to make out of aluminum, but carbon fiber is better.

Thanks for the reply... gives me some ideas. My issue has always been that I can't fabricate to save my life... thankfully, I have friends that can. Perhaps a thin aluminum splitter would work.

Just finished mine:
The base was a FG kamei replica, added a 1/16 ally sheet, with a bend to prevent sag when speed is acheived, thus lowering the pressure on the underside...

The FG airdam can be bought from precision motorsport in Mass.

Yes... twice a year. Plus Okemo, Burke, and Philo.

I normally drive a MKIV Golf 1.8T... I haven't driven this Scirocco at the hillclimbs yet. (the previous owner used to). This is the car:

Yeah make an aluminium one cause you would have just messed up a plastic or carbon fiber one when you hit that cone, I got mine from shine racing Dick had one already made for a mark2 , Idk if he has anymore but he can defiantly make you one if you want , I love it being metal cause I have popped a few curbs with it in Boston
