      I have a DIY here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-R-City-Lights

My write up tells you how to wire the city lights to work with the sidemarkers. So you DO NOT exclusively need the euro switch to make this work.

By default, with the standard switch, when you turn it to the ON position: Your tail-lights, sidemarkers and headlights go on.

With the euro switch (depending on which one you get) get an extra position to turn on the sidemarkers + taillights alone (no headlights)
With the euroswitch you will need to do the parking light wiring found throughout the forums, and if you get the one with the rear fog, you need to do the wire for that too.

      Does that help?
      You got it.

I want the running lights, markers, tails and the city lights to work at one time. I would like to get a rear fog working also. So I'm thinking that I should just get the euro switch like I have in past cars and then do some wiring. Thanks

Finally got APR1+ software (actual progression of my facial expressions). Big ups to APTuning for bailing me out on the pump upgrade and making quick work of the tune . One question though to anyone with a 1+ (or higher) tune. I am occasionally getting some waste gate flutter, not every time I WOT but about 20%. Is this normal?

Then you need the euro switch with the rear fog light. Bold sport sells one which is the one I got and it works flawlessly.

This gas mileage is incredible. I am stage 2+ and with mostly highway driving (75ish mph) I get 25 tops. I average 23. Something wrong?

Nope, nothing wrong. That's what I used to average as well.

I had my cruise set at 74 for the highway part of my commute and was at 29.2mpg 78 miles into my trip. Getting a little lost in stop and go traffic hurt my over all average.

If the torque arm insert is what I think it is, you're gonna regret spending money on it, cuz its gonna snap off. Better to go with the full dogbone mount

      Much, much nicer!

Definitely faster then stock, with amazing pull in the higher RPMs. What was unexpected was that it requires far less throttle to start the car in first and even driving around town is less "boggy" (if that's a word). Highway....no comparison. No comparison at all. Any gear brings a smile to my face.

What was so hard about it???

I got bored earlier today and took off the EVOMs intake, heatsheild, and loosened the
3 top nuts from the turbo, and from the engine bay. I hope the last one wont be as hard.

I am going to try and install it without touching the driveshaft, but I think I would need at least
a lift to attempt that, if it is possible?

Is it possible? See what this guy thinks...

Just came back for I ride in this set up. and that's before his 2+ flash. Unreal and the sound of the APR at full throttle....you've got to hear it to appreciate it.

No way you can remove the stock downpipe without moving the drive shaft. The stock downpipe had a huge round can right from the turbo. The Apr downpipe is easier to put in than the stock one.

Youve got to get the car way up so you can manipulate the dp around and out of its hole. I dont think you can get it around the DS but good luck!

      You've missed the video to!!!

I don't need it on a lift, the difficult section is small and doesn't require much height.

No lift, but the stocker is 1 piece, and in order to get it out, i found you have to have enough ground clearance to allow the but end to move around without hitting the ground while you manipulate the turbo flange end out of its hole. Hard enough on the MKV without a DS in the way. installing the new one should be easy peasy

You are right, the cat by the flange has to turn right 90 deg, and point down at least 45 degree,
guess I will put it on the lift, no biggie to put the intake back one and tighten those bolts.

Thanks for looking out. I assumed the DS would only be the issue, but that cat wont come out
that way it is sitting, not a chance.

went to my dealer to see if I could find a front plate bracket that fits better than the Japanese one they sent with my car. Got there just after parts/service had closed, so skulked around the lot. I think the EOS bracket will work, next step is sourcing one...
