So, do we have any graphic designers that can throw together a logo of sorts to make stickers or something?

I'm flying to the UK the weekend before it (would be tempted to drive over if this meet was earlier), and have got my flight down to $650 from the East Coast on a good airline. Keep searching, there's okay/decent prices out there.

I just did a quick search and found LAX to Brussels (BRU) which is a nice short drive to a the Ring for $907 return leaving tuesday before returning thursday afterwards. Try searching for various other places like Paris, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt etc. (Frankfurt is about as close as BRU but is more expensive).

Don't forget Düsseldorf and Dortmund... There might actually be direct flights from the east coast (or maybe Detroit).

What kind of airfare prices did you line up? How much is the nightly room rate there?

    He's coming from Austria...

Room prices depend - probably around €70+ a night.

Kayak shoes LAX to FRA Apr. 13-16 for $1100...

I'm still debating... I can still get a Turkish Airlines flight from LA to Amsterdam for like $950 on 4/11 (one stop in Istanbul). Then, weekly rental from Amsterdam is like $280 with insurance, due back by 4/18, which is when the return flight would be. Then include track car rental, gas, hotels for a week... Just trying to convince myself this is a prudent financial decision.

18 hours, I think. I wish it were a longer layover, I wouldn't mind checking Istanbul out .

We will be driving up on Sunday with around 10-15 more cars. Where is everyone meeting up at? We will be leaving Ramstein around 7:15 and should be at the track by 10. If anyone has German/european phone numbers hit me up so we can get in touch once we make it to the track.

    Getting excited!!!

I did start looking for a blow-up yellow sofa to put on top of the car, but no luck so far.

Can we add cars and plates to the list of people coming?

Just posting to let you know that you can also sleep at Camping am Nürburgring, it's cheap as hell (like 20 euros/night for 1 car) and you have access to the track if you want to watch the cars or take pictures. I wish i had known that the first time i went to the Nür for a weekend (ended up sleeping in my car parked in the middle of Nürburg). This advice is more aimed at students who, like me, cringe when they see the prices of hotels in the region (although you will encounter people sleeping in tents next to their porsche GT3s and audi R8s). Oh and you don't have to call beforehand or anything, just show up with cash in hand and that's it.

I'd like to come too but i don't think my MK2 jetta's non-vented discs and rear drums would fare too good on this track

    Good info.

If you're close you should still come to hang out for the race and festivities after!
